Yea, I think he's still on. They have 4 weather people now. In case you didn't know they brought back Julie Bologna(no big deal in my book but I swear some people are just beside themselves).
I miss Krista too...she is a very good meterologist. In addition, she has a bubbly persona, but she wasn't so bubbly that it got on your nerves. She has a sister (I think it's her sister, correct me if I'm wrong) that is a professional billiards player. Vivian Villareal
This is a stupid move on COX's part to try and cut costs by purchasing IGNITE the Thomson/Grass Valley system that NO ONE has any luck with. Ignite's purpose is to control the ENTIRE newscast by a computer. There are no Technical Directors, audio techs, camera ops., cryon/gfx techs....just the computer and one person to monitor it. Automation!
"Cutting edge", blah blah blah. Many stations have moved into new buildings and into the HD age with a fraction of the problems WPXI has experienced. Bottom line, the ownership (Cox Broadcasting) is cheap and they opted to go with a computer-based production system rather than people with a brain.
KMBC in Kansas City has had some of the worst problems it has ever encountered since going HD. KXAS in Dallas/Fort Worth is just funny to watch. So many bloopers crammed into one 30 minute broadcast! And the list goes on...
Bob Bruce and Newlin Archinal were my favorite anchors! I'm sad to see them gone.

Are you asking why she is no longer at the station?
We(the viewing public)never seem to get the REAL story, but she moved on. to make matters even worse, Krista Villarreal is now gone.
I'm going over to channel 4.

They should do news telecasts outside more often. That would be cutting edge in the news industry.
