I WAS THERE!!! Was lucky enough to score a backstage pass and got to talk to Adam for about 10 minutes. He is every bit as personable, charming, sincere and nice as everyone says. He made me feel like I was the only one in the room while I was talking to him. He very kindly signed all my stuff, posed for pictures and gave me a hug. ADAM RULES (and he will rule the universe before it's all over!).

I saw Season 8's Summer Tour in DC but didn't have a really great seat. Adam has obviously been the group's biggest draw! Everytime I see a clip of Adam's past performances, I just can't believe how no one "discovered" him early on. So much talent and charisma! I just love Adam!

Hmmm... I don't think I agree. Through most of his advertising campaign he's played straight, i.e., those horrendous "Details" photos. Having offended so much of his gay fanbase, he's vowed to refrain from doing such things in the future.

You know how the USA is about gays, and he never denied being gay - just wanted to have a chance to get his talent out first before the media jumped all over him (and they did anyway). He certainly didn't play it straight in the AMA's - couldn't get more "out" than that. And in the multitude of his interviews he always bluntly states that he's homosexual. Lambert's always going to "offend" someone - it's the nature of who he is. And if he wants to have his picture taken with a beautiful woman, good for him - let him do what he damn pleases without all the recriminations and tsk-tsking. He enjoyed doing it - it was fun - and that's who he is. We could use more of it.

There is a problem with taking a picture with some bimbo in a magazine: it becomes fodder for the RightWingNuts to claim sexuality is a choice. And being a public figure, whether he likes it or not, his decisions are going to impact society's views about gay people. And no, he didn't play it straight at the AMA, he played it bi, which he emphatically denies that he is, and literally offended everyone. If he keeps offending people, he won't have any fans at all!

His amazing voice will make him a superstar! I love Adam just the way he is, but I agree that he should tone down the overt sexuality just a bit. I don't care that he's gay, he's still a hottie, but he needs to let his voice and the music "speak" for him more than the fact that he's hot - at least if he wants to reach the mainstream audience.

After seeing this, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a sex change. Does he seriously think that queening it up is going to work for a mainstream artist. It's a free country, but there's a big difference between tolerance and acceptance. My suggestion Adam is to tone down the gay antics and focus on getting your recording career off the ground because AI hype can only take you so far.
