can any one point me in the right direction for the (eng dub episode) verson? i didnt like the eng sub verson.... the vocalists are different on both dubs
No it wasn't. This song is over 600 years old. Scarborough Fair was an event that was very popular during that time. After time it died out and stop occuring. This song was passed on from that, but no one knows how long the song is or how old it actually is. Many sources point that the song was originally about a plague, which would mean it's derived from the Scottish Hymn, "Elven Knight"
:) Look up Elvish Knight lolz XD I know what you mean with the joke tho- It's about a man and woman giving each other equally impossible tasks like.... One verse that is commonly missing.
"Tell her to hang it on yonder Thorn (insert chorus) Which never bore blossom since Adam was born"
Another one would be
"Sow it all over with one pepper Corn"
The shorter versions of the song cut out SOO much of this... which is sad, the longer duet is prettier.
@fatalframe95 But the truth it, it's not about a plague. The song is about a pair of lovers challenging each other to do impossible things to prove their true love to each other.
@missdeona >.> oh- I know that, the song is actually a duet lol. The original song is based on the Elven Knight, which is WAY older :) The actual song is 12 verses (the most common version) long with lyrics that are usually not included, just the most important Stanzas. I actually found this version here on Youtube sung by Vocaloids, Rin and Len- Melody is completely different but the lyrics are right.
when i heard this song during the end of that one episode i was instantly calmed and just kinda sucked into the song..if that makes sense.

@cruelangel7 I'm actually not a fan of the Simon and Garfunkle version.... too hippie... Doesn't fit with the age and time this song seems to embody.

Just a random question, how did Claes get this song again? Like she was reciting the lyrics to other people so yeah...
btw, I love this version the most!
Xclann 2 years ago
She got shitloads of books inherited from Cap Raballo, so most of the stuff she does (gardening, meteorites etc) is from his influence.
termanedieter11 2 years ago
So your saying that she found the song inside the book? Or is what she do basically from the book?
Xclann 2 years ago
She could get to know the song from any source, but got mostly from her books.
Since she's the only cyborg that laze around all day and be part of experiments, the best investment for her is to read and do stuff.

Most sources say this song is a joke. So the episode gives a really off impression of it. It's not a serious song.
