A good tribute to this so ancient song ^^ (for a wonderful anime too)

  • To download the OST, Click on "Lien n°1", near "Lien Megaupload".

Thanks 4 telling me where to download it.

    ;)

  • were did you find it?

  • lol this version makes me laugh a little, its just her accent but great singing!

  • whats OST mean?

  • original sound track

  • simon and garfunkle or gregorian have great versions

  • yeah but they just ripped off this version

  • @cruelangel7 I'm actually not a fan of the Simon and Garfunkle version.... too hippie... Doesn't fit with the age and time this song seems to embody.

  • Who is this Claes? Full name please?

  • That IS her full name.

  • 0.o no this song is from england since scarbough fiar was held in england from over 800 years ago and was ended in 1750

  • Just a random question, how did Claes get this song again? Like she was reciting the lyrics to other people so yeah...

btw, I love this version the most!

  • She got shitloads of books inherited from Cap Raballo, so most of the stuff she does (gardening, meteorites etc) is from his influence.

  • So your saying that she found the song inside the book? Or is what she do basically from the book?

  • She could get to know the song from any source, but got mostly from her books.

Since she's the only cyborg that laze around all day and be part of experiments, the best investment for her is to read and do stuff.

  • Genial video peregil , salvia tomillo y romero ^^ sugoi

  • I also just watched ep 8 of second season and this song was real goooood :)

  • Claes sing this~^^

Gunslinger Girl has the best OST of all animes, in my opinion...

  • @OhMyFuckerDog you should watch "Haibane Renmei", IMHO its even better.

  • @TehSalomon

Maybe not better, but it's up there.

  • I love this song, and Gunslinger Girl pinned it perfectly! ^^ So nice!

  • Thank you so much! ^^

I just watched episode 8 of the 2nd season and I really liked this song.

  • Thank you very much!

I've been lookin for the ep8 ed for a long time!

  • No it wasn't. This song is over 600 years old. Scarborough Fair was an event that was very popular during that time. After time it died out and stop occuring. This song was passed on from that, but no one knows how long the song is or how old it actually is. Many sources point that the song was originally about a plague, which would mean it's derived from the Scottish Hymn, "Elven Knight"

  • Most sources say this song is a joke. So the episode gives a really off impression of it. It's not a serious song.

  • :) Look up Elvish Knight lolz XD I know what you mean with the joke tho- It's about a man and woman giving each other equally impossible tasks like.... One verse that is commonly missing.

"Tell her to hang it on yonder Thorn (insert chorus) Which never bore blossom since Adam was born"

    Another one would be

"Sow it all over with one pepper Corn"

The shorter versions of the song cut out SOO much of this... which is sad, the longer duet is prettier.

  • @fatalframe95 But the truth it, it's not about a plague. The song is about a pair of lovers challenging each other to do impossible things to prove their true love to each other.

  • @missdeona >.> oh- I know that, the song is actually a duet lol. The original song is based on the Elven Knight, which is WAY older :) The actual song is 12 verses (the most common version) long with lyrics that are usually not included, just the most important Stanzas. I actually found this version here on Youtube sung by Vocaloids, Rin and Len- Melody is completely different but the lyrics are right.

  • 1960s?

  • tellement beau ... (l)

  • OMG I sang this song in 8th grade

  • my fav song ^_^

where did you get the wallpaper? i thought i had them all..
