knights are pretty damn overdone though, as are paladins, and none of those three could embody what the barbarian does, also the monk really isnt barbaric, he cant tank, he would never use something like a battle axe, and he uses magic, hes effectively the diablo 2 paladin mixed with the assasin, you should see some of his hand to hand weapons.

I thought blizzard might add a monk class because besides the pure physical fighter there has to be a physical and magical fighter, and the monk is a class which fits these attributes, but i honestly doubted blizzard was going to add a knight type class and at one point i was doubting they would make a holy warrior. Someone said they dont see how the mokn fits the setting but thinks the assin/druid did? no they dont the monk fits the setting as the middle ages actually had monks.

I'm comparing the monk and the witchdoctor to the old d2 chars because the gameplay is similar, monks have like a combo mechanic, and the Witchdoctor can summon undead minions in other words these arent new clases just remakes taken to a hole new level of the original.

They need to do a Ranger for the fifth class. It's got the bows, but you can get up there with a sword/shield, dagger/dagger, or 2 handed sword if it's that suits the situation better.

I'm definitely playing a Monk. I was originally planning on starting a Witch Doctor first, who still looks really cool, but this is like a Sin with a holy warrior twist. And I loved the Sin from D2.
