  • If only you could put Mechwarrior Tracks on the radio =P

  • Awesome Game!! Awesome Music!!! Awesome Vid!!!! Please God let me play MW5!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!

  • Eh, this music's from MW2 Mercs, not MW2 31st CC, but it's still awesome.

  • Thankyou SO much for posting this...

This is one of the most awesome pieces of music I've ever heard. I have the original Mechwarrior 2 cd, but it won't play in my new dell XPS with Widows Vista. I've wanted to hear this again (besides in my mind) for a very long time!

  • I had original Mechwarrior 2 cd as well and I remember I could listen to all music tracks in any CD player. Just be careful not to play Track 1, since that is game data and would ruin it if you try to read it in a CD player.

  • LOOOL you actually think playing a data track in an audio cd player would damage it? If so - no comment needed....

  • Actually happened to me, in the past. So... yes.

  • Hahaha It is physically impossible so stop spilling the bullshit. The AudioCD player's laser is by all means similar to the one in your CDROM, so it can't damage your CD, may it be data or audio content. If your CD got damaged in such circumstance, it was purely coincidence which led you to believe this false claim. Even if it was the player's fault - I repeat: AudioCD player's laser is similar to any other CD devices' lasers, therefore cannot damage the dics. It must've been something other.

  • Ok, message received, so what do you want from me? You want an applause? A handjob? An "Achievement Unlocked: I'M SO COOL" notification?

Great, you got it, now please, by all means, STFU, kthxbai. ^^

  • Oh goodness...such good times. Anyone know where I can download this game? Like an ISO or something?

  • The Pirate Bay, you can download it from there. or Buy it from Amazon or Ebay for pennies.

  • Cool!

  • Anyone know how to get the MW2 games to work on a vista laptop?

  • Use virtual machine and install win 95

  • So, where would I be able to download Virtual Machine, or get it from, and would I need to use a win95 cd to instal it?

  • if you get the DOS CD or floppy disk version. perhaps an iso file - then you'll be able to easily run it through DOSBOX if you have a fairly powerful machine

  • Thanks. My machine in a piece of S right now. I'll keep it in mind once i get my 9.8GHz QuadCore! :)

  • ummm...... i dont know how to tell you this... but the fastest quad core is 4.4 GHz.... unless you are talking about multiple processor..... but the fastest processor is an intel quad core extreme 4.4 GHz..... i dont know the model #

  • if you divide the number by 4 you'll get what the singal core processor is. 4.4GHz is the single, times four makes it quad, therefore a guad 4.4 is actually running at a combined 17.6ghz, becaue the speed of each processor adds up. And also if see what I said, "once i get my 9.8GHz QuadCore!" you'll notice, i never said 9.8GHz quad is out now, i said buy the time i save up for a new comp it'll probably at that speed. so either way, i am correct.

  • Just thought I'd point out that adding up individual clock speeds is incorrect. Entirely incorrect. Its like saying that because your car has 4 V8 engines, you've got a V16 engine. You don't. You have 4 seperate engines, and they each will run only at their max power individually. Processors are the same way. They don't combine and/or stack.

  • RealityIsTheNow, A car can't have more than one engine you idiot, that is a totally stupid analogy. and 4 x 8 isn't 16, its 32. When you come back with a better analogy & better understanding of mathamatics, then we'll see who can add what and where!

If you want to talk cars here's how it works, each cylinder out of the 8 in a V8 engine produces a certain amount of power adding up to the total horsepower of a V8. The individual cylinder is like a processor, and the clockspeed like horsepowers.

  • lol i actually used to listen to this soundtrack when i was a kid. i remember putting the disk in my cd player for kicks and the music started!

  • Same...my "Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries" and Seawolf CD's got just as much play for the music as the games themselves. It's been about a decade since I've listened to this song, but it's still so very familiar.

  • Omg Seawolf was my first ever CD game. Mechwarrior 2 was the next LOL.

  • Awesome...let's have sex.

  • or i can punch your tiny ass in the head!

  • But...but I don't have a head on my ass!

  • I don't think this is from mechwarrior 2, well at least the titanium edition. I think the original and titanium have different soundtracks.

  • This is from the original MechWarrior 2 Mercenaries. The titanium edition to my knowledge doesn't play any track during the gameplay.

  • It does but on some newer computers you must download a patch to fix that.

  • Oh really? Do you know where I can get it?

  • havnt heard this song in years! brings back memories! this song makes me think of the mech commando. i guess the way he moved was kind of in sinc with the beat of this song.

  • The mission I remember this song from was the first true House Kurita mission when you have to destroy the news station on a certain floor of a building, and you know what mech you use? Commando. lol, I guess all the music is made to match the mechs you can use a in a certain mission.

  • Nah, I bought a crab before this mission and it still played the song.

  • zomgz!!!! you've found it!!! thank you!!! this is the mission where you blow up some bank story building!

  • you're all welcome guys. i thought it was common knowledge about the mech2 game being readable by music cd players. but anyway your welcome :)

  • i need to get my disc and rip it onto my macbook immediately! who owns the rights to the soundtrack anyway?

  • i think it was some guy who had a very Chinese sounding name. but that's only for mech2 mercs. the other music didn't say who the composer was. i would presume the composer has the rights. you'll see when you rip them on itunes or whatever other program you use.

  • Jeehun Hwang

  • Thats the one!

  • M44resto, if you have the original CDs for the mechwarrior 2 games, then you'll be able to play the music directly from them in your CD player, or even in the car. When I'm in a nostalgic mood on a long drive its what I do sometimes. But until yet I haven't seen any online hosting of the music.

  • What format r they in? MP3? Is it true that I can play it on CD player? I do have Mechwarrior 2 DOS version with me

  • I don't know what format. But when I put them into ITunes, the program ripped them from the CDs and converted them for me directly into usable MP3 format. I don't know if this will happen to everyone. I have the DOS and 95 and the ATI Rage Edition. But I could only rip MechWarrior 2 GBL and Mercs music, the orignal game and the ATI would not rip, but the ATI on mine will play the full music score on any CD player.

  • Stockfreck, thanks for d info. I'll try it. Hope my China made dvd player could read it.

  • i have an old fujitsu cassette and cd deck from 1999, works fine for me. you shouldn't have any problems playing the music on you dvd player if it is on the computer. it's all backwards compatible.

  • where can you find a soundtrack or songs online
