  • Awesome. I wanted to put an illuminated switch in my PC but wasnt quite sure what the prongs were for. The battery trick is perfect.

    Thanks!

  • Wow - and this is an easy answer! Everybody relax... google ---> how to wire illuminated rocker switch ------ and then ---- click 'images'

  • WTF

  • If you can't figure out to talk in the video, how did you figure out how to work the camera?

    Moron

  • @CureForIgnorance go fuck yourself

  • @gormbygallo red is positive black is negative.

  • the middle prong is usually used for a signal wire. i use these for killswitches for my car stereo amplifiers.

  • @GTFOnDIE Same here lol.

  • You are all fucking retards this guy is obviously smarter than you because he has an understanding of basic wiring if your to dumb to realize how a basic lighted switch works then and your simple minds get confused when you add an extra wire then keep your bullshit comments to yourself instead of arguing about something you have no understanding in this is a great simple video thanks man

  • @jmk604955 thanks!

  • @jmk604955 This is not wiring.

  • Unless you are mute, why not step us through what you are trying to achieve. I agree, a bullshit video. You just can't expect to do this rubbish and it be acceptable... Wake up sunshine, clear your throat and start to gobble like a turkey

  • i see what u did there cool. but how do i do this make the light work, using wire. i can only get the switch to work not the light at the same time... i cant use the switch like the way y r showing, its not attached to anything....

  • @gormbygallo just follow the instructions accordingly. are you sure you are using the same type of switch? it's basic ON/OFF switch btw.

  • so when I hook a toggle to an led ligh,t how and where does the third wire go? is it red or blk wire.. and then to the battery 12 volt? I can do the 2 toggle switch now no problem, thanks to a friend not youtube videos!. my electric bike is pimpetted out now!!!!

  • @gormbygallo i dont understand what are u trying to say.

  • Simple but great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • U are Einstein! LOL!!!!!!

  • Damn dude you are a fucking Rocket Scientist!!!!!

  • So, wiring...without wires?

  • @MATTNATTMATT yeah. problem officer?

  • @geligapictures It doesn't show us how to wire a lighted rocker switch..it shows us how to make a battery mate with a switch...

  • @MATTNATTMATT then this video is definately not for you.

  • @geligapictures I was looking for a video on how to wire one up, not how to hold it to a battery.

  • @MATTNATTMATT Everyone can connect and solder a wire, but not everyone know where to connect it correctly.

See comments before you, there guys know who this video is targeted to.

  • @geligapictures All i'm saying is it would be nice to see the wires, as i do not have any sound at the moment.

  • @MATTNATTMATT this video is also mute. no sound.

all you need is power, (which is why the main reason the battery is there), and a rocker switch.

no wires are needed for this explaination (they are considered as self-explanatory since they are very basic and even without wires i can demonstrate this video.)

if you want A to Z, why dont you just get a wire, a 9V battery just like I did, and a rocker switch, see which one is more simple for a video tutorial.

  • @geligapictures Still, it would be nice to see, and see it attached to an object like a light.

  • @MATTNATTMATT if somebody can do without wire, that means he understands what he's doing. wire is just a connector, what it do? it conducts electricity. everybody knows that.

perhaps i should do a video HOW TO WIRE ANYTHING.

in the video, i'll take a piece of wire, then i wire to to ANYTHING; a cat, a chair, a bike, a lamp post, a book, and etc.. LOL..

  • @geligapictures Actually, yeah, wire it to a lamp post. that would be interesting to see. Make it a strobe lamp post. Than wire it up to some music and make it flash to the bassline. Thanks

  • Good a video that is short simple and sweet thanks

  • which ground goes to the switch the one from power or from the accesory

  • @HiddenWitnesses the term "ground" is basically negative terminal, if there is a power source, there should be ground point somewhere. Just like a battery, must have both positive and negative (ground), if you connect only the positive side of battery, your device wont work, u need to complete the circuit through ground terminal.

I already explained in the video description what each prong do.

  • any way you could wire this to a fourwheeler for ignition? any help would be appreciated

  • so how do i know which prong goes to the power because since its the left side you can flip it around and itll be the left side either way...so does it matter which way its facing

  • @monstadakid there should be some markings on the side.

  • so where does ur accessory negative go?

  • @rockbandfreke94 all negative go to ground. or simply negative terminal of battery.

  • @geligapictures ok ya, i figured it out now...got my lights in my trunk set up!

  • can u install one of those on a pocket bike?

  • Simple fuckin video, no bullshit just simple

    will you marry me?

  • @Tapil no lol!

i like it simple. my english sucks.. so i write instead of talk in the video..

  • thnx a lot, it helped us in making our project look beautiful

  • Thanks for the video, can you do a video to show us how to wire it to AC, would be much appreciated by everyone.

  • what a bullshit video

  • @luxfair glad i wasted your time watching this and give comment. =)

  • thank you so much i needed a switch for my moped and i wanted it to light up thanks again!

  • ok, so that middle prong is going to be the power going to what im hooking up right? im hooking up a voltage meter for my car amp. i have a power and ground coming from the amp that i would wire that (first and last prong) then the middle would be a power wire going to the voltage meter and i would just ground out the other ground coming out of the meter right? thanks for the help man..just trying to get a full understanging before i try it..dont need my car catching fire. lol..thx

  • @MLGjack3d if the switch has the marking similar like in the video;

"A" is to connect to the accesories

"+" is to connect to power source or positive terminal

"GND" is to ground or negative terminal

  • great video, just what I needed, thanks!

  • @luke1wcu no problem
