I rented this car a few months ago in Germany. I can safely say that this is the most brilliant car I've ever been in. Comfortable, quality materials and design and perfect steering in any environment, from 40 kph in the streets of Hamburg to the 220 kph on the German Autobahn. And even though I was going so fast, it almost felt like I was doing just 140! I will most definitely rent it again on my next trip to Germany, it is worth every penny!

Like prestb said, you can hit a wall at 120 mph and you get some dents, bumper might come off and the windscreen cracks, but it's not realistic. Also GT5 won't feature damage on all 900 cars, just a select group. Don't get me wrong i love GT5 and think it's the best racing sim out there, but the damage could be a little better.

I agree that mechanical damage is the most important. I just wish that car manufacturers would allow Sony to dismantle their production cars.
