PepsiCo was Dana's primary sponsor at the start of the program, plastering several of their products' names onto the title, depending on which one they were "pushing" that week {another one was "THE DIET MUG ROOT BEER SHOW"}- eventually, they and Carvey came to a parting of the ways after five weeks (due to a disagreement over the kind of sketches Dana was presenting), and ABC cancelled him two weeks later [most of the audience that watched "HOME IMPROVEMENT" before Dana were tuning out].

Damn! I can't believe I never gave this show a chance, it's funny as hell, and it only took the invention of You Tube plus 13 years to go by for me to watch it. Looking back this show had all of today's funniest men: Dana Carvey(of course), Robert Smigel, Stephen Colbert, and Steve Carell. I love all of those guys.

Colbert and Carell seem to be very gifted gaggers and dry heavers. lol. I wonder how much they did it at Second City. Colbert gags a lot on the Colbert Report and Carell seems to do it a lot on the Office and in interviews.
