  • horse slipped due to wet surface I think, I still remember that evening, it was raining bad, it was raining before the ceremony, stopped for the ceremony and then continued again.. :)

  • ive watch the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar at 12:00 AM (PST) and it was incredible!!!!!!

  • arabian horses are a rare breed. I saw one the other day and it looked at me as if to say, "what are you looking at?" In my country there is green pastures and I am sure that horse was more used to hot dry climate with a clear horizon and baking sand dunes. I felt sorry that that horse was in a paddock far from home. Still, I will say a few arabic words to it as I pass, maybe he wont feel so lonely.

  • it was awesome. I thought the horse was going to fall over just as he got near the top of the ramp. I think it is true to say that a good rider is one who knows his horse so well, that the horse is almost one with the rider. I think it was an impressive ride. I videoed this off the tv when it was being shown live on BBC news

  • I'm proud to live in Qatar to! I mean i'm from the UK and when all my relatives watched this on TV all the way back in the UK they were amazed! I think Qatar was VERY privelleved to be able to hold the asian games! x

  • Never heard of this, everyone has to have their own "Olyimpics" dont they lol. poor horse.. how many times was it stumbling around 3 or 4 times? thats really smart making it go up a flight of stairs. It was to awkward and clunky.

  • this was tha first time ever that the asian games was held in the middle east and i bet after this there'll be more to come...kudos to the middle easterns, kudos to asians hehehe!!! we'll also be watching out for the beijing olympics in 2008, for sure it'll be also an event to remember.

    Just a point of claraification - the horse was Australian named Malibu.

  • Yep,he is purebred gelding River Oak Malibu (River Oak Tabu x Callista Park Qualieda),he was bred by Ray and Kerry Smith of River Oak Arabians in Wilberforce. such a goregous horse,such a sweetie
