Such wonderful animals, but the African plains are wrought with danger for the Cheetah mom and her cubs, Lions,Loepards, and Hyenas, are all potential killers of the Chetah and her babes.
It's a reserve so it's likely the predator/prey balance is out of whack. Cheetah numbers have dropped from 100,000 less than 100 years ago to around 10,000 today, primarily due to human impact. Cheetahs don't do well on reserves as they need huge open spaces to breed, live and raise their young.
You are so right iamlumin, also the Cheetah needs the wide open savanna for her hunting.
That 60-70 miles per hour doesn't do so well in a wooded area, lol.
I hope the conservationists have the common sense to preserve these areas and their wildlife. It's a natural treasure that needs, no has, to be preserved.
I must admit there's really some non-tangible aspect about cheetahs that pulls me toward them like a magnet. They are amazing animals and when you see them run in person it takes your breath away.
Wow, have you seen them in person? I bet that is amazing, even watching them on TV, the camera man has a problem keeping up with them.
I have always wanted to go on one of those safaris, but now, don't guess I'll ever get to go on one. Good talking to you, hope you have a good day, been so hot here, 10104 degrees F. every day.
Yes and in all honesty I can't put into words what it's like. I was fortunate to see a coalition of three brothers on a hunt. It was pretty amazing. I really felt a connection with them that can't be explained. Nice speaking with you as well. Have a great day! Dr. Laurie Marker of the Cheetah Conservation Fund is going to be on Good Morning America and Nightline this week, should be interesting. Check your local listings.
OK, nice chatting with you, I subscribed to your videos, nice work.. I watch Big Cat Safari on the tube evry day. Lot of repeats but I enjoy them anyway.
Iv'e always been something of a naturalist, and I love all the natuire shows.
Same here and thanks for subscribing. Have you checked out the "cheetahdays" website? You can see and follow the development of TommyT an ambassador cheetah born at the Cincinnati Zoo. They have videos and photos starting when he was only weeks old and it continues on and I believe he's about 8 months old now. Some great images and videos. Nothing melts a person's heart like a cheetah cub. Take care now.
Well, everything is just what it is. It's not good or bad or strong or weak until someone decides to put that label on it. I look at the cheetah with the realization that it was here prior to the name cheetah. It just is what it is, beautiful, graceful, and elegant. When we get into comparing we get into separation, isolation and egotistical mumbo jumbo. Things just are what they are. The speed of the cheetah was impressive but the acceleration is was really blew me away.
I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews (dot) net It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position.
There is software im using to send atleast 30,000 text message a day advertising my online business...it is amazing. I think they have free demos to try as well.

I just watched one of your videos, Cheetah Monage, I believe it was, fantastic. The speed and agility is really something to watch.
Some people whine about the Cheetah being the weakest of the big cats, but you can't have the speed and power too.
To have the speed, you have to make sacrifices, and a big muscular body like a lion's just not correlate with speed.
Any way getting late, better go, see ya later. Mike in Texas
