@ksilva808 Yep still on there. Most of my specs are listed in my build thread there and in other vids of mine of this 383 motor..i think the dyno vid captures it, but it was a basic all forged 11 to 1 comp 383 with AFR 195's and custom grind using comp lobes. 230/245 .603/.613 109lsa. Ported HSR intake. Doing it all over again I would have gone with AFR 210's or Profiler 210's and made more power and pulled to 7K abit harder. Maybe a few more degs on the cam shaft
@preacherman198 Longtubes into custom ypipe, header extensions for the ypipe go under the trans crossmember (hang pretty low) then down stock location in the driveshaft tunnel, into the muffler before the rear, over axle splitting into dual 3" outlets for dual tips out the bumper.
That motor was awesome...I wish my new one would sound like this setup. Its getting a big cam too but the exhaust note was just so unique on this car...vids didnt do it justice
I need help with my camaro guys. Not sure what year just know its a 3rd gen. and would like to have some repair advice. going to replace the thermostat to try and fix overheating problem. just check my channel out
yeah I have a 383 stroker motor in my 84 trans am with hooker longtube headers and my guy suggested 2.50 pipes with thrush or flowmaster mufflers because 2.50 will get me more low end power then a 3 inch or 4 since my 383 stroker already has 460 tq and 410 hp I dont know how much more low end I need lol but I listen to my mechanics
@thunderup86 if your talking dual 2.5" thats ok. Dual 3" is alittle big. Single 2.5 and single 3" is alittle too small. Too small will hurt exhaust scavenging. Too large can hurt as well. If thats only 410hp at the flexplate then single 3" is ok. If thats at the tires, 3" is choking it.
@thunderup86 I ran a 383 stroker in my 84 Silverado with big, sticky tires and it would literally melt the tires. I sure didn't need more low end. Actually, i needed less! My neighbor put a 383 stroker in his 88 camaro and it was all over the road through 1st gear and most of 2nd gear and he and I both had welded spider gears. I should have put a powerglide in my truck to kill off some of the tire shredding torque.
@kenzo5716 yeah they are torque monsters I have gm stoke heads I had machined and im not longer happy with my #'s so I went ahead a bought trickflow heads with 195cc 64cc chamber I have not put them on yet but my mechanic said im looking at probably another 40 hp but only a extra 20 in tq he said all in done it will be one bad ass 383 my next project will be underdrive pulleys. I wanted my project to run 450hp 450tq it looks like Im about done soon
@thunderup86 Trickflow are good heads. I ran Topline Performance 200cc on mine. I have built many sbc engines and i can make more power with a mild cam and good heads than with a radical cam and poor heads. Heads make the difference for sure. Sounds like you got a winning combo there. Good luck to ya!
yeah that car probably gets not jump 4 inch pipes are going to help top end a little but 2.50 or 3 would have been better wider is not always better and I think the sound would be even tougher with the 3
@thunderup86 I will disagree with you here. There is a certain pipe diameter and length that is suitable for this combination for optimal torque and hp in the rpm range I operate, and single 2.5 or single 3" is not it. 4" single is a good fit for this car. Could have done 3.5" single but 4" is much more readily available.
@codysk8ter95 camera angle makes it look worse than it is..but the frame rails on these cars arent centered with the rear tail lights anyway so its tough to get it perfect
@codysk8ter95 you are a idiot you troll these pages looking for anything negative to say im willing to bet you drive a piece of shit............wait you cant drive a skateboard "sk8ter" lmfao
@codysk8ter95 go back to your corolla and tighten up your 5 inch wing on back wnd re paing your rims black with spraypaint bitch boy where the hell is your car? its easy to put down someone elses stuff when you hide in ya mamas corolla lmfao
@codysk8ter95 you think so? PUT YOUR VIDEO WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS IM RUNNING 420 HP 357 ITS IN MY VIDEOS YOU TOOK A 400 small block with a 350 crank YOU DESTROKED A MOTOR?????? YOU TAKE A VIDEO OF A 0 TO 100 RUN AND ILL OUT RUN YOUR ASS ANY DAY!!!!!!!!! BITCH
a 377CID is a high winding fast reving mean little motor...I've seen them take down 383's and 400+++CID motors. They arent low end baller but high end screamers... I'd rather run a 377 then a 454...
Those are just 2 fart cans you stole off a civic. And that 305 has a worn cam it idle like crap dude. I'm kidding that's sweet and the meanest catback I've seen.4 inch single pipe can handle plenty of power I bet that exhaust could handle 500hp if it mandrel bent would be more than enough.
@IrocZCamaro88 hot day with hot motor it made 392whp but figure its closer to 400-410 once cool and on a good day. Dyno doesnt mean much, car trapped 119 in summer time at 3450lbs
what headers r u running? can u just get this exhaust kit some where or do u have to make it all? whats the price it cost u? just built a new engine for mine and the exhaust makes it sound like a wussy
hooker headers #2210. Ypipe and catback was fabbed by myself but you may beable to buy a mufflex y pipe and any 4" mufflex catback to get a bolt in deal, just change the muffler if its not loud enough. Mufflex y pipe doesnt fit spohn tranny crossmembers tho
i have the pretty much the same car and ive been looking for a good set of heads.. what heads are you runnin?? i was thinkin about the patriot 190's and a GM847 cam or somethin similar with an HSR setup.
i really want a 383 since i have a 3rd gen but i really dont know how much money it is to build a 383 with a tranny and rearend any idea how much you spent???
No you couldnt...show me a complete motor that can handle the power and rpm required for under 8 g. I had probably 7-8g into that motor turnkey with nitrous/exhaust/flexplate and i reused stock accessory bracket
hooker 2210's. 1 3/4" primaries, 3" collector. Into 3" pipes to Ypipe two 3" inlet 1 4" outlet. 4" all the way back to the axle and up over. Then another Y pipe to split it back into dual 3" outlets. 3.5" tips
Hey Orr are you still on TGO im under karl's-92'-z28? Dam it sounds good, what is your engine specs? Im looking into a 383 HSR or Supr Ram build.

@mbm4225 Eagle rotating assembly..all forged with SRP flat top pistons. 11 to 1 compression with AFR 195 eliminator heads, custom 230/245 .603/.613 109lsa cam, ported holley stealth ram fuel injection, twin 58mm holley TB, hooker 2210 long tube headers, custom 3 into single 4" exhaust.
