This is one of the many neat antecedents that were around on the jukeboxes and R&B radio in the days before rock and roll officially debuted. Back then people used to do some neat dancing to this stuff in a way so different to what's done now. The girls always seemed to pick up the dance steps out of the air. The guys were left mostly contemplating their two left feet and the girl's sensuous movement. Thanks for preserving a great memory tune.
I never knew about this song until I played Mafia 2. When I heard it I started laughing because of how un-PC it is and how this could never be done these days, which is a shame. I HATE PC.
I liked how Mafia 2 was in the 50s (and 40s a little). We need more games take place in the 50s with actual 50s music.
@Malfi0us Yeah, except Mafia 2 used the Five Keys version. I believe it was done slightly later than this version, but it's just as good in it's own way. It has more of a far east feel to it, and the vocals are deeper. Other than that, there really isn't much difference. : )
this is my faveorite charms song this is on my heart right now matthew williams
was a former memer of this group in the 1950's and i am his granddaughter.I AM DEFINATELY NOT BRAGGING!!!he died in 1992 and even though i never met him i really miss him rip "grandaddy"
it's hard to describe exactly what it is that brings me back to LTT over and over again. Of course the lyrics are so un-PC that you probably couldn't get the record made today.
I love it (especially the 7th chord when he sings the word "wrong")
