You can absolutely play metal on Gretsch Drums. Check out the Warchest from Megadeth. Vinnie Colaiuta playing his Gretsch drums on that record! Amazing!

@natisnuts i dont think you can really say that.. it's possible that they knew at that point, but as far as WE know, they only told the rest of the band a couple months before they actually left. i mean i know josh said that after BNE they grew farther apart, but that doesnt mean they knew they were leaving

@alisonleigh100 he did state in an interview that he told the band that BNE was the last record he would record with them and that they announced to the rest of the band in early 2010 they'd be leaving. Why would i make it up? i am gutted they left but i'm overjoyed they're starting Novel American xD

@54321yohey if this interview was really done around September 15th, then i think ya he probably knew. apparently they told the rest of the band that they were leaving a couple months before they actually left, which was December, so i think by September they probably knew

@Y2JMcMilan he actually is in the band tunnel, but they changed their name to halfnoise. their pretty good. you can listen to their music on soundcloud. They have two songs out one is called Hide your eyes and the other is called Erase me.
