haha... thanks for doing the detail shots of the super depressed Mickey.. it's funny to see, but also grim! I remember an old Looney Tunes cartoon where a cat had a flea pestering him and at the end of the episode the cat shoots himself in the head with a gun... It isn't gory, but it was still pretty shocking to see back then... I don't know exactly what it was, but this reminded me of that similarly.. surprisingly macabre content...
That's actually no surprise about them having those risky scenes back then. In those times they had a form of "freedom" in comics then television. Of course, as the years and popularity grew, they used different forms of "cover-ups" to censor out certain comics scenarios (or skip it intentionally).as if it never happended.
