My parents used to scream at each other and fight constantly until they started swinging and chose to separate. I was much better off in two happy homes than one miserable home. This guy is absolutely right. Monogamy is not a human trait at all and marriage is an unstable institution invented by humans. Nobody on that show or the top comments know what they are talking about. Only in fundamentalist religious America is where people say one thing and do another in terms of their marriage. Get outside the country and see the exorbitant amounts of open infidelity that occurs, but where the divorce rate is very low.

Religion for the most part is polygamists, I cant speak for all, but Christianity certainly is. Social standards changed Christianity to monogamy, not the other way around. Open marriage reports jealousy in the marriage at 75-90%. Monogamy is getting genetic backing as well as theories showing it in the evolution of man.

@prime440 I have met just as many people who are damaged from being in unhappy monogamous marriages than those hurt by infidelity. My parents used to scream at each other and fight constantly until they started swinging and chose to separate. I was much better off in two happy homes than one miserable home. I'm sad that my parents are no longer together but I'm glad they have separate healthy relationships instead of a miserable union.

@amayagab They tried swinging before the divorce but the yelling started way before that and I never heard them arguing about affairs. My parents were always very open about everything with us, they never sugar coated subjects like reproduction and disturbing news stories. They told why they were getting divorced, their true feelings about the situation and what was going to happen to me and my sister. It's been 6 years since then and if they hadn't told me then they would have told me by now.

You should be able to kidnap someone's infant and raise them as your own
You should be able to urine or have a bowel movement on the sidewalk
You should be able to leave your kids at home at ages 5 throw 10
You should be able to have sex in public
You should be able to be a scalper
You should be able to bootleg movies you own
None of these things physical harm another. So why are they illegal?

Noel Biderman is not to blame. If you have a problem with human nature, I don't think Noel Biderman is the one we should throw stones at. Ultimately, each individual is solely responsible for his or her own actions. If you really feel threatened by Ashley Madison, perhaps you need to learn how to control yourself in order to refrain from infidelity. The desire and ability to cheat was not invented by Noel Biderman. It was always there. That is where our focus should be directed at.
