  • I was super skeptical about running this and possibly bricking my phone, and when Malwarebytes said the program was a Trojan Virus, I was REALLY suspicious. Regardless, I pushed through, clicked ignore warning and ran anyway....

WOW!!! Super easy and fast! Out of 5 stars, I give it 11. And this was after all else failed. FANTASTIC JOB! Keep up the good work! I will def donate.

    Thanks again

  • hey for some reason, when tbolt restore reboots my device, it stays in the fastboot and doesnt flash the kernel. any ideas??

  • Thanks i luv u i subbed and liked and faved

  • Thank you Chris! I had to send my failing phone (touch screen intermittent) back to Verizon, so I used this file to unroot before I sent it. Awesome job on this. Worked perfectly, my phone was wiped right back to stock, S-ON and ready to send back.

  • I used the method you suggested and now my phone will not turn on. Hopefully it is not bricked. My computer only recognizes Generic Usb device now. Before it did recognize Adroid device My HTC Please help. mkalvin01@gmail.com

  • Wow, amazing program you guys have made here. Just one thing - if anyone gets the message that "some include files could not be made" or something like that, something went wrong and you'll need to restart the computer, delete the extracted program, and re-extract it and run again. Don't know what happened there, but I had to do it. Otherwise, A++++ program :)

  • You rock! I thought my phone was bricked but your instructions saved it. Thanks so much.

  • Since then I bought a new 64gb iPhone and I finally have a phone that actually works. I haven't done anything to it to get better signal or better battery life or anything to get rid of crappy bloat ware. I had s 3G awhile back, I went through 15 different android phones all with problems and now I'm back to a phone maker that works on 1 thing at a time not 20 other phones, just saying.

  • Yeah so... The link was not working at that time. I clicked on it probably 20 times just make sure it wasn't me. Then I got off HTC website. I then used this program to unroot my phone. I ready directions 3 times just to make sure I was reading it right and selecting the correct number for application. It then bricked my phone in which Verizon would not cover under warranty because they said the could see that I was using a different operating system than HTC originally had.

  • it says

"/dev/block/mmcblk0p17: cannot open for write: Permission denied

    misc.img written to hboot

/dev/block/mmcblk0p18: cannot open for write: Permission denied

    hbooteng.nb0 written to hboot"

    is that normal?

  • Also driver link doesnt work!

  • unjplug and plug into a new usb port, you can find the driver on the htc website, its called HTC Sync

  • @onefast96svt driver link works fine ! lol.

  • Im trying to do mine now. I have the drivers I believe, atleast it shows them and says my drivers are up to date but yet it doesnt see my phone and usb debugging is on

  • ok thank you

  • halfcab

I am hoping you can respond to my last query yesterday about clicking on the item 3 when I was actually rooted on a custom rom, so I can work with Verizon customer support. Also, should I be upgrading to a later android version, baseband, etc, for this purpose? Thanks again.

  • i had a rooted phone on a custom rom, and when I was using your program, I clicked item 3 "i'm rooted on stock gingerbread", but i was rooted on a custom gingerbread 2.3.5 by cyanogen. Phone seems to be back to the original. Will I be OK?

  • Using your t-bolt restore program, on windows 7, I got the following error message "can not create some of your include files adbwinapi.dll adbwinusbapi.dll adb.exe continue?" then it shows my device attached with serial number. then "press any key to continue" should I abort or go through, given the error message?
  • @leiko49 if you get that message its because you ran it once before, delete the program and redownload

extract it to new folder and try again

  • don't know what you mean by "unrevolutionary". Are you saying this will work on a thunderbolt rooted without revolutionary, or will it "Unrevolutionary" the phone. Will your method work on a thunderbolt that did not use revolutionary?

  • @leiko49 lol, this will "un-revolutionary" "un-root" this wipes out anything done to a thunderbolt excluding bootloader problems of course i.e., hard brick. If your THUNDERBOLT, was rooted s-offed etc., with any method, this puts it back, but you must have s-off obviously for this to work

  • Worked like a dream....... nice.

  • Everything works except I cant get a 3g/4g connection now. What should I do? Thanks

  • @joshcromer80 yes this happened with my phone also how do i fix that?

  • @DtheDude Not sure how thats possible, unless there's something actually wrong with your phone, its not possible if you have a Thunderbolt, and used this tutorial. So if you did everything I said here and it worked, and actually booted up and everything and don't have signal, it doesn't have to do with this, because this is "STOCK" "HTC" FIRMWARE.

  • Fantastic video. The program worked like a charm. Best unroot stock method I have seen. Thanks a million! I'm recommending this video for sure!

  • The best unroot procedure I have seen. Very easy to follow along with. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN TRYIN TO DO THESE SINCE NOON!! i cant believe i didnt intially you tube, I WUV YOU!

  • Perfect did everything you said!!! So easy to do... Again thanks!!!
