I have memorized that melody front to back in the How to Beat the High Cost of Living movie. It has a cool bass line. That is one of my favorite movies ever.
@rockergirl83 That score was by the GREAT Patrick Williams who wrote Lou Grant, the old Bob Newhart, and many B and exploitation movies too. But don't let all of the commercial credits fool you. He was a great jazz and classical writer too and the bass was the most important ingredient in his writing. He also wrote a concerto for saxophonist Phil Woods. I used to have the album - lots of Hubert Laws on flute.
@JessOnTheRun I think it came from growing up with a mom who liked movies that were made to air in the afternoon after soaps in the 80's. Not really lower standards, but more of an open mind.
Is that Will Lee (Mr. Hooper) behind the counter in the Efferdent commercial?
