I shared this with pro nuclear(disaster) power industry. I would like to point out that, fifteen minutes in, the speaker is over illustrating the need for philosophy and should get to the practical use of historically accepted philosophical technique.
@VictoriaEatingCake aaaAAAand 20 minutes in, just barely getting to the idea of the ideal state. Wow. I hope this Introduction to Philosophy gets to use of philosophy soon, here.
AaaaaaAAAAand 35 minutes into thise 38 minute video we have lots of comparative description and NO specific philosophical technique. This does not bode well as an introduction to philosophy.
Freedomain Radio and Stefan Molyneux provides some of the clearest, logical analysis and critique of our contemporary world I've ever come across in my 45 years on this forsaken rock in space. Thank you. Please vote for Freedomain Radio at podcastawards com. under two categories 1) People Choice Award and 2) Education. Be sure to check your email address to validate your vote. I have a few problems with your position that a non-falsifiable hypothesis is a null-hypothesis. What about logical, mathematical and ethical propositions? If they are untestable, then logic, mathematics and ethics are not valid, which you don't seem to think. If they are testable, specifically logical propositions, then it seems to me that all hypotheses are falsifiable, even Descartes's Brain in a jar hypothesis could be tested if some logical proposition he based it on was falsified.
To clarify what i'm saying. I suspect the gloominated (Priest's Bishops & Popes) among Royal Familie's are responsible for burning the Library of Alexandria. They would never keep all that knowledge for themselves? No never do that? And then drip feed the slaves information about the nature of reality. The knowledge of the ancient culture of Atlantis. The Queen of England curtsies to the pope, who rules? The Vatican Rules. The Pope rules the Globe. Now, who creates the rules? who writes history?
At 32.53 where you talk about the stick appearing broken when half in water. We already know without being told the stick is not broken. Our eyes do not lie to us, they show reality, 'the stick half in water. There is no contradiction. Its only brainwashed intelectuals who believe they have evidence of a broken stick because the priest craft they bow to, told them so. Same as 2nd law of thermodynamics It doesn't exist. Only in sciences mind.
@jamerfunk Since when do bishops or priesthoods teach people about sticks? or more directly, sticks half submerged in water. If it's a law, it's been proven real. thus it does exist, and anything proving otherwise is either unproven, or very, very vague.
@kingdemon815 I used a metaphore relating to an assumption during this video.
However the fact we even have a law of thermodynamics is evidence somebody like the priest craft (the gloominutzi) introduced it to intelectuals during their brainwashing (oops) I meant University indoctronation.
I assume by your question you think bishops and pries's don't tell lies?
However they have been found guilty of child sex and child murder, which is documented.
@jamerfunk Except i am not christian, catholic, or even have a religion. So i do believe that bishops and priests lie. It's impossible not to lie, atleast once in your life.
i wondered why you didn't quote Dante Alighieri.
