Yamahas are nice. But as far as durability, Honda is the way to go. Every Honda I've owned whether it be a utility or racing, I've gave them hell and they last. The first Yamaha I got was a 660 raptor and it broke down after a few hard rides... Never owned a Suzuki ATV but Polaris is good too.

I myself only clutch on take off and to change to second gear.the rest I just give it no throttle then shift.
