America needs to automate silicon PV factories. We also need to place at least 10,000 square miles of it above all southwest parking lots, roads and even in the deserts themselves. However, bulldozing or paving that much land is NOT acceptable.
Simply post erect all forms of solar in the deserts (sorry parabolic troughs and linear Fresnel).
