  • I like this song 1971

  • Christie is the best!!! ;-)

  • 909

  • FOR SURE TO BE SURE;-) THE WORLD IS BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL SAN BERNARNADINO;-)

  • ...and than Norton air force closed, a recession hit and all hell broke loose...

  • Great song and a very funny video in Monty Python-Style.

But most of the people her talk about San Bernardino and the problems of the city.

Who cares??? It's a song, not a political statement! It's just pure entertainment!

  • Great childhood memories ... very catchy song ... Thanks for posting ... Wayne

  • Very good son and terrible old video. It's just another opinion, of course.

  • Nice song and video!

  • Chill people! its just a song.... :-)

  • i thought is about a dog :)

  • lol 2:40 must have been shot on baseline....

  • To those that say Berdoo was a great place before. . . (blahBLAHblah). If you are able to read, pick up a history book. After the Mormons left, it got a rep as place to wild out. I used to live in Berdoo and I'm glad to have survived and left the place. I still have good friends that still live there that I keep in touch with. The whole valley sucks, so no, Redlands is not better. The official song should be Zappa's "doin time in San Bernardino."

  • Jeff Christie is from Leeds :)

  • BERDOO

  • Bought this 45 around Feb/71, thankfully the store I bought it at did not do their returns yet. Great song, driving beat. Great stuff!

  • GOOD GROUP

  • these songs take me right back to my teens fantastic

  • @STROKINmyWOOKIE lol me too

    never knew this song existed!

  • HAHAHAHA ohhhhh...... wait what? this song is not a joke? Ohhhhhhh... he was stoned.... what? wow, OK

  • @Zoom1818 That's correct - this song refers to San Bernadino, CA, USA!

  • its a shit you are right on the money

  • SBD MOUNTAINS KICK ASS

  • There is nothing wrong with San Bernardino, unless you aren't a scumbag.

  • San Bernardino is a shithole its the meth distribution capital of california infested with gangs and poverty.

  • Comment removed

  • San Bernardino was a great city within California until it got riddled with Gangland activity its now a family nightmare and a gang bangers dream

  • LMAO. ah.If you grew up in SB you know why I laughed XD

  • I used to listen to this one back in the 80s when I was a kid. Brings back memories, I had this big heavy and very old reel-to-reel tape recorder... I guess, the sound was horrible, but it was just good enough. Still one of my favorites.

  • I know it from an LP my mum used to have! what a flash back!

  • it was the first single i ever bought then, for five swiss francs, not a bad decision, i think ..., on the backside was "here I am"

  • one of old fevourite song back in early 70's...jet

  • Dimaisssss Dimaisssssssss dimaisssssssssssss lindissima musica, que saudade de meus bailinhos, que tempo bommmmmmm, parabenssss CHRISTIANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • Skomentuj ten film...

  • who would sing about San Bernardino, its the ghettoist ghetto you will ever seen, trust me

  • @SirDude456 you probably werent even born when this song was made you fool. S.B. used to be full of rich neighborhoods. do you even live here?

  • @paydn202 im pretty sure he lives in an ugly area. well san bernardino is not what it used to be but northern Bernardino by cal state is still nice. i lived there since i was born. and im 19

  • @dankill16 well i mean he was being an idiot, obviously this song isnt about present day SanBernardino.

yeah and theyre building all those new houses up that way, i will probably be moving out there soon.

  • @paydn202 who does care where you are going to live? you go and live under a bridge who fuck care. Shut your mouth

  • @MrMariof1 who the fuck is talking to you? i was having a conversation with someone else, do you walk up to people on the street and tell em to shut their mouth? nah you dont cause you'd probably get fucked up. the only place you feel tough is right there behind that screen so remember that next time. and save yourself from looking like a fucking dumbass.

  • @dankill16 too bad fires burn it down every few years.

  • @CreationistVotebot99 true. i almost lost my house to one.. :/

  • @OBRlANT Too bad the fires never seem to burn down the white trash meth addicted teabagger neighborhoods.

  • @OBRlANT so did my mom. You know that asshole right-wing extremist Molotov Mitchell on youtube he is IlluminatiTV, he makes me want to smash my computer screen in with a baseball bat. Anyway, my parents were friends with his wife's parents when I was a kid. In 2003, in San Bernardino both houses she grew up in were burned down by the fires in SoCal. She suffered from SEVERE ADHD and used to bite people and act like an animal. Now she's a fag-hating right-wing extremist religious fanatic.

  • @OBRlANT too bad it's full of degenerate tweeker drug addicts. I grew up there. I live in Redlands now. Much better place to live, except full of old white asshole Sarah Palin lovers and nazi cops who stop me every time they see me. ASSHOLES!!!!!!!

  • @SirDude456 hey I grew up there. I had some next-door neighbors move in when I was 6 and that was the first time I saw tweekers in my life. My mom lives there now and her next-door neighbor is a John Bircher and captures her cats and takes them to the pound and is pissed because she won't sell Amway.

  • @SirDude456 That's why I don't smoke my speed, I SLAM it!!!!!!

  • I live very near San Bernardino and I havent ever heard this song and my family has lived in San Bernardino for over 150yrs...

  • It's about San Bernardino,CA,because he refers to the Rio Grande river, which is in the US and runs through California. The correct spelling of the town is San Bernardino (with the extra "r"). The error was detected too late for the records to be recalled and the labels corrected. This song has been registered with music publishers under both spellings.

  • @GraveyardKing666

Actually the Rio Grande is far removed from California as it is the boundary between Texas and Mexico.

  • It was a famous song in Spanish, in Spain, after they sang it.

  • Vielen Dank dafür!

  • i live in SB ...ehh :/

  • Cała Moja młodość to piosenki zespołu Christie, cudowne lata przy pięknej muzyce.

  • សាន់ប៊ឺណាឌីណូ ទីក្រុងដ៏ស្រស់បវរខ្ញំអើយ!

  • I LOVE SAN BERNARDINO!!!

  • Obviously about a fictitious place, as the towns in California and Switzerland are called "San BernaRdino" and not "San Bernadino". Or it was a spelling mistake like in Diesel's "SausOlito Summernight" which clearly was about SausAlito, Marin County, California.

  • @50sResearchCenter No, my friend, the song in Spanish was actually referring to San Bernardino, the town. Perhaps, as this was a dictature, they wanted to make a change to this 'malicious' version, I do not know anyway. The past must know it.

  • @gatsby31 Isn't is a little bit far fetched to attribute the difference in spelling of the tile of this song and the names of the actual towns of San Bernardino (be it in California, Switzerland or Spain) to general Franco? You yourself say in another comment "I don't know anything about that city/town" so why be a wise guy? You also wrote in another comment: "It says: San Bernardino" Not true, I have the original Christie album and the song is called "San Bernadino" WITHOUT an R!!!!!

  • there is a san bernardino in Italy and some around south america and probably other places as well.

  • @synthezer Of course, but this song and the Spaniards ones refer to the San Bernardino founded by the Spanish Empire centuries ago, thanks.

  • Now try Frank Zappa - San Berdino (Baby Snakes)

  • @RandomCriticsify Nothing to do with this innocent song! It says: 'San Bernardino'. I don't know anything about that city/town, just the music which was quite famous all over the world. ;)

  • HOMIES

  • I love the Christie sound...

  • Nice, essa é a cidade do Lula, president of Brazil !!!

  • Great tune! I've listened to Christie's songs billion times on the radio and i never knew it is Christie. But, it is never too late.

  • HAHAHA... San Bernardinooooo...

oh yeah the people talking trash about the Dino being poluted, yeahis is all LA dirty ass polution that comes to our valley.

  • its actually spelled SAN BERNARDINO !!

  • Uważam że film do tego utworu jest bardzo ,

dobry , co prawda się pośmiałem - jest

artystyczny z humorem . Za ten clip powinien

    dostać na prawdę nagrodę .

  • S.B. is where smog goes to die.

  • Back then San Bernadino was probably pretty, but all the pollution and neglect led to its current state. Take care of it and will be beautiful again.

Wait and see what happens in 30 yrs, big difference.

  • @rnlindsey82 I visited California last year. Nothing changed. Didn't know that back then San Bernardino was probably pretty. So, whot is current state of San Bernardino ? To green?

  • @poszolwon The current state of San Bernardino is a group of hard-working white American citizens who HATE communism and liberalism and want to bring our nation back to the Lord, Jesus Christ.

  • @rnlindsey82 Typical libtard. We don't need to take care of San Bernardino because our Lord, Jesus Christ is going to rapture us out soon. Only filthy liberal vermin scum care about the environment. Filthy commie vermin.

  • Das geht voll ab :-)

  • Love this tune; evergreen

  • @TheBestmusicworld remember this growing uop

    in uk

    were they brits

    or yanks

  • @jocksmen They are Brits and got their break on a talent show called "New faces"

  • @yorkie6687 thanks yes I

do remember the show with host

GARY NEWBON when I lived in

    the UK.!

  • does anyone know the another song about san bernardino. it talks about how ghetto san berdoo is. i heard it on a local radio 103.9? a while back and i cant find it anywhere. its pretty hilarious

  • if you know it can you tell me how to find it. please :(

  • San Bernardino reeks of meth lung.

  • For years the smog was so bad around Riverside and San Bernadino you couldn't see the mountains on the north side of the city. This is a cool catchy song however. I wonder how Christie ever became enamored with San Bernadino.

  • very good music

  • San Berdoo is the Armpit of LA!!! If you go now...take a gas-mask!!.

    \Great Song.

  • San bernardino has NOTHING to do with LA. Not even the same county.

  • Well I think they are referring to the San Bernardino in Cali but nothing to do with LA :/

  • I've been trying to find this for long. I was 10 when this came out. The original Mc Donald's was in San Bernardino when it was a gateway to Los Angeles basin. It does look somewhat bleak now. (the weather I guess)

  • If you gave California an emema, you'd have San Bernadino

  • I am young person and i love this song soooooooooo much it is really groovy.

  • Here we are riding the San Bernardino Metro!

  • vrátil jsem se do mládí... díkes...

  • jojo, tohle myslím v češtine zpíval Chladil. Ale už je to sakra dávno :-)

  • Stare ale Jare!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • very nice song and video thanks

  • Fantastic song!!!! ;))

  • This group apparently had no idea about the City of San Bernardino because even back then the city was a dump. They must have gotten an atlas and closed their eyes and randomly flipped through the pages until they put their finger on the first city it pointed to. I live in Rialto which is the city next to San Bernardino and I know it is has the highest unemployment and welfare receipients in the state, not to mention the drug addicts, homeless. and vacant houses.

  • I am pretty sure they get there drugs from Rialto

  • and Rialto gets their drugs from your mom.

  • Up the San bernardino punx!

  • 909 Cali bby!!!!! The True Ghetto!

  • Another great record by Christie

  • san bernadino is a splendid made pop tune that give us from that era tears in the eye...

  • 909 REPRESENT!!!! x)))))

  • Looong time not heard this song!!Those were the days,it was my 1.LP got f my brother, could them all songs by heart,then...Was young then.

  • city of san bernardino...best place on earth. WTF are you old people or bigots talking about? SB is the gateway to the mountains, Las Vegas, and apple orchard central in Oak Glen. Great place. So what it has alot of mexicans and blacks...alot of white people and asians too. If you don't belong on the poor side of town...stay out. Then you won't have these silly things to say about here.

  • Nice song - about one of the most uninteresting, boring places in Southern California. They had obviouly never been there.

  • sometimes i get caught up in all that is rotten...then as this olod berdoo boy watches that gas meter on the video passes by so slowly i got to laff...

  • Neat song & video. I've never been to San Bernardino before being on the east coast. I find it interesting they would do a song about San Bernardino in England. I recently discovered this song & love it...

  • Skate the fountain, the bank etc... anyday in San Bernardino,

  • san b = good spots.

  • Maybe the GREATEST of the "Unknown Bands" of the late sixties/early seventies. Love em !!!

  • GREAT SONG!!!!

  • my old hometown...yea..

  • again...hell yeah!!!! berdoo rocks!!!!

  • beautiful

  • This sounds like a Beatles-song.

  • Nahh....they're trying to sound like Creedence Clearwater Revival.

  • If the songwriter had actually visited San Bernardino he may not have been inspired to write this.I suppose four syllables ending in a vowel lends itself to a song.

  • Tru dat

  • Great song! I think the film was inspired by the Monkees (or A Hard Day's Night!)

  • at 0:47 watch for the old lady walking by as she turns and scowls at the camera! funnee !

  • Happy to find my childhoods happy songs.

  • it was my first east-german- LP ever... and I own it and never sell ...

    Jobatribe - Brazil

  • This was the first record I ever bought. I moved to the states 13 years ago and by chance got to live in San Bernadino County in California for a couple of years. Great song.

  • i'd like to kno what he thinks of berdoo lately

  • I agree with that statement...san ber"doo".."doo"

  • brilliant!

  • So funny!

  • funny indeed - but what has this to do with san bernardino? we'll never know... :-)

  • Never seen this before .. wonderful
