  • Having seen this movie myself, I can say I very thoroughly enjoyed it. It was silly and campy, yes, but if you take a minute to avoid any nit-picking on details on Lupin "canon" it becomes a solid funny film worth enjoying. I fully recommend it to anyone that is either a fan of Lupin or comedies in general.

  • Lupin in this movie looks more like what a Japanese Elvis impersonator would look like, he doesn't remind me of Lupin III too much...

  • (#$&#@^&* at Fujiko! XDD

  • Looks too fun, hopefully it'll be released here in the US someday.

  • @sfighter991 it was...since 06

  • I know actor who plays Lupen. This is Yuki Meguro, just now he is 63 years

  • *smiles* Too Campy!!!! Effing Luv Lupin!!!

  • This is the worst thing I've ever seen, and I've watched every Michael Bay movie.

  • LMFAO 0:51

  • @derpdederp101 Epic jump haha

  • Comment removed

  • 1:10 what the fuck o.o

  • It'll be cool if they have a live action Lupin the 3rd movie today with an American cast playing the major roles. I can picture Adam Sandler as Lupin, and Jim Carrey playing part as Inspector Zenegata.

  • @Allistertha53

I suggest Sacha Baron Cohen as Lupin & Rowan Atkinson as Zenigata, the 2 chameleon actors who share the same model of comedies: Peter Sellers!

  • @Allistertha53 errr, i don't know about that.

  • Okay, is it good?

  • now that was epic hehehe.

  • @warkeeper23 Yes it is!

    -Stoicone!

  • bigal would love to see this come to the US

  • wish that Jigen dressed more like Jigen, with that famous chin curtain beard and his all black ensemble. Also more Zenegata images in this short would have been fabulous. Only sad that Goemon isn't even mentioned, much less featured. Some wild sword swinging...like cutting a car in half...would have fit right in with the theme of comedy.

  • His chin needs to be longer! MORE LONG CHIN!

    CHIIIIIIIIIN!

lol, reminds me of 80's style Kung Fu movies. XD

  • both of you are idiots

  • is their anywere i can watch this????

  • Oh, oh! The 70s, man! Oh god, and japan! Oh! They're dancing! And playing air guitar!

    Be excellent to each other.

    Bwahahahaha!

Oh man. That actress who played Fuujiko was fucking hot. And Lupin reminded me of Freddy, but that's probably just because of the ascot.

  • lupin lupin lupin lupin

  • I always viewed it as Jigen was from teh U.S. mob and fled to Japan, and took the japanese name "Jigen". well those are just my thoughts on the matter...

  • Looks like fun. Of course it doesn't beat the anime and manga, but seems cool.

  • LOLOLOLOL I LOVE LUPIN TH 3RD!!!!!

  • this is horrible

  • Oh my god what is the song that plays at 32 seconds in where the girls are dancing???

I would kill for that song...

Is there an OST for this or something?

  • But Lupin's French, not Japanese, Goemon and Fujiko may be Japanese, but Jigen is either Australian or American

  • you are totally right

  • where do u get your info from, Audie512? what are you, a white supremacist or something? Jigen Daisuke is a JAPANESE name, it has not even a hint of correlation to an English or an Australian name. Seriously, this is why I hate westerners who try to claim Asian products as their own. Seriously, most original Japanese ideas often get stolen by Americans, who try to spin it off as their own. Does Kimba the White Lion, Dragonball Z, Iron Chef, Darkstalkers and Zelda ring a bell?

  • Jigen was originally an enforcer with the american Mafia so it's possible he is Japanese-American

  • Even if he was, that still means that he's Japanese, doesn't it? he may LIVE in America, but that doesn't necessarily make him any less Japanese and any more "Australian". for example, I might be a Korean-American, but does that mean I'm white? I don't think so..

  • " Seriously, this is why I hate westerners who try to claim Asian products as their own."

ROFLMAO... What a moron. You DO realize that the character of Lupin was *stolen* from the French, right? It was a French writer called Maurice LeBlanc who created him in the first place; Monkey Punch just took that character and made him his grandson, roflmao!

Why don't you bash the Japanese for claiming a Franch character as their own as well, the one you claim is oh, so original, lol...

  • fuck off, white boy, take your klan shit somewhere else.... If your oh-so-mighty race is so original, why the fuck are all your movies today spinoff of original Japanese ideas? (Dragonball Evolution? and you couldn't even get that right) And btw, idiot, I KNOW that the name Lupin is a French one...the origins of Lupin were never disputed, (clearly he is the grandson of the original Lupin) it was JIGEN that I was arguing over dumbass. can't you read in hicksville, USA?

  • "fuck off, white boy, take your klan shit somewhere else"

Thanks for showing everyone what a stupid racist you are. I am not white-- far from it it. Hell, you're more white than I am!

You're also a hypocrite. You were the one that started the hatred about "Westerners." So wait-- you can go around bashing people from another culture, saying how they always like to "steal" things and claim them as their own... but now when the criticism swings the other way it's racism? Moron.

  • whatever color you are, i'd have no fucking problem if you only knew how to be polite and not a total fucktard. And btw, you were the one who started calling people names, so chew on that before chewing out random people. why am i even wasting time on you? it's not like your opinion matters...hell, i can just spam you and get it over with...but hey, I don't censor other ppls opinions, so i guess this will just have to continue..

  • eh, no...let me quote you on what you said EXACTLY: no culture steals more than Japanese. so, you bash me for bashing your own culture, when you would do the same? is a hypocrite right when he calls another a hypocrite? Your racist statement wasn't even well-informed or well-rounded with a constructive, convincing argument, it was just plain dumb. It hardly even made sense. If you're gonna argue, try using a little bit more reason, pal.

  • @animationeer I am white... and i love Japanese movies and i am not racist.

  • Saying that Jigen is white SIMPLY because he carries a "western" gun is racist, pure and simple. And not the oh-so-cliche-he-called-me-black racism, it's just simply ignorant racism. That's like saying since Uma Thurman in Kill Bill carries a katana that automatically makes her Japanese? Can you see how fucking stupid you really sound? give credit where credit is due..the original creator meant for Jigen to be JAPANESE not AUSTRALIAN...

  • btw I don't HATE westerners...if you read the fine print (something I think you might have trouble doing so I'll spell it out for you) I said at end, quote: who try to claim asian products as their own. Meaning, idiots like you, with no sense of worldliness whatsoever, going on about supremacy about your oh-so-perfect culture. Why can't you just give the Japanese their credit and stop trying to whitewash everything with your own bullshit ideologies of cultures that don't steal more than Japan?

  • Another reason why you're an idiot: You say you "hate" Westerners who try to claim Asian products as their own. Thing is, almost all of them were *stolen* from the West. Baseball, J-Pop,R&B, hip hop; "gothic lolita"; and even anime are Western based. The list goes on and on...

So gmab.. no culture steals more than Japanese. That's why it's funny to hear fools like you get all indignant about the West *claiming* their ideas, lol... Oh, u mean like the Asians claimed Lupin? A FRENCH character?

  • No, you're wrong, that DOESN'T count as stealing. You know why? because no Japanese EVER disputed that these things came from the west. In fact, most Japanese RESPECT the west enough to give them their due credit when it comes to things like baseball or hip-hop...they never said anything like "oh, since we're singing Japanese lyrics that must mean this song is about Japanese culture",..

  • "You know why? because no Japanese EVER disputed that these things came from the west."

And the West NEVER claims they invented any ideas they borrowed from the Japanese, bigot. EVERYONE in the West KNOWS that Kill Bill was based on Lady Snowblood, the Ring was based on the Japanese film of the same name. The West DOES give credit. Some Westerners are so obsessed with Japanese culture they even put it above their own and bash Western culture as a result.

  • well, you may be right there, but I have yet to meet a westerner (and let me tell you, I've met ALOT of them that can't even find Japan on a world map) who didn't outright say that he thinks original Japanese characters should stay Japanese. Why can't Superman be asian? why can't batman be african american? because that's the way they were originally conceived. art that takes from another source must give due respect to the original intent of the original artist. If not, then it's stealing.

  • it gives credit, but not enough. SOME western people (a good part of the population) still think the Lion King was an original Disney idea, that Dragonball Z was about a white guy who meets a Chinese monk, that Jigen is white. to paraphrase, let me just say that it is the UNEDUCATED, IGNORANT masses that don't know shit about asian culture and try to judge it as the people my post was directed against, okay?

  • NEVER? just read the other fucking posts, you racist, idiotic bigot and you'll see where my anger stems from. if you agree with the people that say stuff like Jigen really being american, then i regret nothing of what I said.

  • As for J-Pop, there is nothing STOLEN about it...sure they may use western instruments to play their tunes, but their music is completely their own...it's called J-POP because it's popular in Japan, NOT because it's a carbon copy of western pop...it's not stealing if the pop artists in Japan are creating a brand of music uniquely their own and not just trying to rip off britney spears or kanye west.

  • and you say no culture steals more than the Japanese? That's the most bullshit racist comment I've heard all day...seriously dude, are you retarded or something? you realize the west these days practically plagiarize Japanese culture in everything from manga and anime in their everyday shows (Teen Titans? TRansformers? all anime style) to food (sushi? ramen?) to martial arts (Judo? karate?) and you think your culture doesn't steal or borrow anything from other cultures?

  • Cubism was borrowed from Africa. Many folk tales, philosophical and religious ideas were borrowed from other cultures. Zen Buddhism was borrowed from India. Many foods that we take for granted were borrowed from many other cultures. Fashions have been borrowed from all over the world. Etc and so on.

If you're going to bash the West as "plagiarizers" for just engaging in a cultural exchange, then it's only fair to make the same dumb argument against Asians, right?

    PT 2

  • I mean, if-- according to your stupid logic-- it's "stealing" if American artists become influenced by manga, why not call Japanese baseball "stealing?" Why not call anime stealing, since Osamu Tezuka himself said he was influenced by American cinema and Disney? Hell, why not call them the biggest plagiarizers of them all?

THAT was the point of my comments, of saying that Japanese steal more than any other nationality. I was arguing to YOUR level of intelligence, using your crude logic.

  • What's funny is that when I turn YOUR crude arguments against Asians--using your logic-- you scream racism.

It's not so fun when someone starts accusing Asians of being "plagiarizers" and thieves, is it?" Like you did against the West?

BTW, I want to thank you for calling be "white" and all that. I'm not white-- not even close. I'm a minority that hates ignorance, especially the hypocritical kind where the bigot wants to have his cake and eat it, too.

  • Typical example of bigot who wants to have his cake and eat it, too--

    1) The white guy who listens to jazz and blues, but says that blacks are ruining white culture.

    2) The black woman who perms her hair or puts in weaves to look more white, but rants that white people are evil.

    3) The Asian that happily indulges in Western fashion and music but then bashes it as being a "thief" when it does the same.

You can call me racist, bigot, etc, all you want, but you are the true bigot here.

  • eh, no....wrong again. the pot calling the kettle black, eh? so if you're not a bigot, as you so claim to be on this message box, why not come out and admit it? admit that asians have invented things that deserve the respect of the west? you perch on top of your high horse, claiming to be oh-so-superior and call out others who you claim are bigots, yet if we really sat down and dissected you, the truth would be much more different, wouldn't it?

  • and yeah, maybe asians do "indulge" in western fashion and music...but other cultures do the same so why single out the Japanese? and why argue over whether Jigen is white or asian when he CLEARLY IS Asian? it's like calling an apple an orange, it's outrageous and shouldn't even be considered debating. THAT is why I went off on a tangent like that. Maybe i overdid it on the western part, but my point remains the same. trying to change a character to suit one's own taste is crossing the line.

  • and if you're a christian, so is calling Jesus black. or saying Mohammed Ali was a homosexual, Wolverine a native American, Satan a Jew, Goku a white guy with a Jersey accent. capish?

  • uh, no, again I didn't blame THE WHOLE west..only the idiotic white supremacist assholes who think whites invented the moon, the stars and the entire world. I wasn't even singling out a single culture or person, I was making a generalization that, when read correctly, wasn't actually untrue. YOU were the one who went that extreme and bashed the ENTIRE Japanese culture. And heck, you were so adamant about it you went on to list a bunch of things Japan "stole"....

  • oh ho, claim whatever minority you want, I STILL think you're a fucktard for calling Japanese thieves....I don't know what country you're from, but whatever it is, it steals more from other cultures than even the Japanese. okay? see how you like it.

  • evidently, you aren't even capable on arguing at my "level of intelligence" if you started an argument with me without even surmising my point entirely. look around. we're on a Lupin III video and the point is whether or not Jigen Daisuke is white.he isn't, obviously, so there's no need to go farther. HOWEVER, there still remains the point as to why the topic was even brought up in the first place and that comes from racism.

  • uh, because it's already been established that baseball is a western sport? Since no Japanese in their right mind would ever say that that Hideki Matsui is white because he carries a "western" bat? helllo, where the hell is your head? do you even know WHY I made that comment and what started it off? that people who say Jigen carrying an aussie gun means he's an aussie is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard? that they can be so blind to the fact that he's got a Japanese name?

  • i only bash those that deserve a bashing, people like you (kinda like giving credit where its due)...since I have yet to hear any Japanese person saying anything as retarded as saying that Jigen is white since he carries a "white" gun, I won't bash them, because they are blameless. I WILL go and bash the west all I want, because it's true...many westerners really DO think such idiotic things (just read the other posts). Am I saying ALL westerners think like this and that they all believe it? No.

  • but a good many of them do and it is to THEY that i was directing my post against.... particularly those americans who think the universe revolves around their bottom-feeding country. and I don't think you can equate INFLUENCE with stealing, otherwise you might as well call EVERY artist a thief...but since a Lion king WAS an original idea of Osamu Tezuka's that came from his own head, it IS right to call what Disney did stealing.

  • I call an apple and apple for what its worth and that is what it was. And it is for THAT reason that I said what I said, and why, to explain to you my "stupid" logic, I didn't take the time out to admit that Japan was partly influenced by the west because I didn't NEED to...they never said anything stupid, YOU and idiots like you did. I'm fair and it was fair to bash those that deserve bashing, wouldn't you agree? I'm not gonna blame those who don't deserve blame, am I?

  • got it stupid? need I be any MORE specific for your crude, stupid, baseless logic?

  • yeah, it is funny, hearing ignorant white trash mouthing off claiming that asians are "thieves" when it was really the west that started all the stealing and borrowing in the first place. You want a list? how about gunpowder, china, silk, tea, spice, curry, jade, yoga, rice..the list goes on and on...so before making stupid, irrational claims like "no culture steals more than Japanese", read a history book and enlighten yourself to reality...

  • hahahah deeriley24 has got like two friends...

  • You know why I have 2 friend? Because having a life, I'm barely on this site-- at the most, I'm here only 3, 4 days a month.

Oh, and because I have enough friends OFFLINE where I don't need to compensate by having a zillion "make pretend" friends on YouTube.

I mean, seriously. How sad is your personal life where you actually think it matters how many strangers you've friended on a website?

    I really pity you.

  • then go have fun with the friends offline you claim to have if you really have a life, instead of arguing on youtube??

  • @animationeer Oh dude, this was a blast, reading this whole string of comments had me dying in laughter. I wonder if you're still on that "white-man steals shit" kick. If so, you ought to chill out, you're gonna have a heart attack screaming about whitey taking all your precious anime characters. Most of the dweebs who slurp that up and try to make it part of them aren't trying to steal your culture, they just want to be Japanese.

  • @lackin124 i just think its funny how everyone is trying to picture all of these american actors in everything--its like trying to have an all scottish cast of "Roots"... its wont work too well LMAO ... or a whole hispanic cast of Shaka Zulu

  • @vashydana I dunno, it all depends on the people you get into the roles. It's all a bunch of goofy ass shit, people getting uppity on who should be what, which cultures are better, and who's a thief. All humans are awesome/horrible/thieves/mixing cultures/whatever, people need to stop sucking their culture's cock and learn how to be more humble with themselves.

  • didn't the strip indicate that Jigen was from the US? He has a history of knowing NY and Chicago, and can be on the lam through Russia without tipping his i.d. by being Japanese among Europeans. Also he tends to favor American food and is apparantly a Catholic. Perhaps Monkey Punch added these elements to keep the readers guessing. (and to keep them reading).

  • well in the Lupin III World's Most Wanted manga they have little bios and intros for the characters and Jigen is said to be modeled after James Coburn from The Magnificent Seven. So I would assume he has some American influence.

  • Anyone know where I can snag that song the women sing in this?

  • lol awesome.

  • NO. this movie is a fail :P Lupin and his friends were born cartoons and they shall die cartoons

  • sure, i mean he likes pall mall, the food front i dunno, i read somewhere that his gun or one of his guns was popular with the Australian police. i always got the sense he was Latin American, but some people of told me he's mixed race like Lupin perhaps is, maybe American /Japanese. i just did not think jigen was that patriotic in an American sense, im think of a few quotes, one in particular from the secret of Mamo, maybe it's just the dubbing on the one i watched. anyway im not that bothered.

  • is it me or does this flick look nothing like the anime or the manga. the Jigen character is bearded and that's it.

  • cool

  • it's a completely different film making style. it's best in animated form for sure.

secondly i hope the Hollywood production don't go ahead, they fuck up most things, that are really good and it's bloody molen!

  • Rightly firstly, Jigen national and origin are unclear, he's been seen in Australia and carried a gun popular with the australia police, in english dub's he comes across very latino american if anything, but i think it's good, it's unclear. he disses America sometimes, i recall one comment in the secret of mamo suggesting he's probably not american and maybe latino. but's it's not certain. his back story varies. not seen his film it looks ok, but don't diss it if you your prepared to expect

  • actually Jigen is Catholic, lived in NY, has ties to organized crime, lived in Australia, adopted a Japanese name but may be occidental, likes American food, prefers American cigarettes, likes a US made gun, and gives hints he's a US citizen (quoted as saying he'll never buy US Savings Bonds again); probably an American who's on the run in Japan.

  • it says that hes a hitman, but went on the run, for some reason i never saw him as a japanese at all, i saw him as an irish man, he can shoot anything at 0.3 seconds, he is also lupins right hand. for that he is my favortie charecter, hes soo badass, even his (sopposibly fake) name is badass, althoug i think all he needs is a luger p08 handgun that lupin uses, it looks right for him. it is said he smokes 10 packs a day!

  • well, his name IS Jigen Daisuke. Then again, his backstory is always changing in each incarnation of the Lupin series. all i know is that he's my favorite character!!

  • this should be remade period.

  • AHAHAHAAH

  • fujiko's boobage looks severely underdeveloped - she's not named after a volcano for nothing. Apart from that, looks like fine entertainment of the highest quality.

  • Don't know. doesn't feel the same as the anime

  • I wonder where I can get a copy of that movie actually...

  • Jigen is American (Lupin himself said), and Lupin hates criminal empires!

  • man i miss this show

  • :D:D:D:D:D:D: i want diamond i want emeralds xD i dont want tell you this but you want my dick

  • 悪いんだけど、ルパン以外、純日本人なんだよ・・。w

    白人なわけないだろ~。まったくもう。失礼しちゃうわ。

  • hahahahahahahahaha. coming soon

  • They should've the exact costumes that was used in the manga and anime. At least give the title character the green jacket. I just hope that the American live action version will give the characters the exact kinds of clothing they wore, especially with Lupin's red jacket look and Jigen's Chicago mobster look.

  • And I hope the actor will have a similar face of Lupin, not just to show they're awesome macho faces

  • I think I found the perfect one to fit his role...TAH DAH!!!: ADAM SANDLER!!! Seriously...

  • Uhh. Interesting. Maybe with some hair more, but he's quite good

  • IF THEIR WAS A BLACK LUPIN IT WOULD BE dAVE cHAPPELLE LOL

  • not bad idea! :)

  • and dr. slump.

  • dragon ball and lupin are really famous in japan i read.

  • I love the funky seventies go-go dancers at 00:36. So sexy.

  • I heard Steven Spielberg was going to make a live-action version of his "favorite movie of all time", Castle of Cagliostro.

  • Hmmm

Anyone notice that an abundant amount ov live action anime/video game movies are scheduled for 2009?

Thats gonna be a crazy year.

  • Hey anyone else think that Stephen Chow would be a good lupin the 3rd?(if they make a modern Lupin the III action movie)

  • We got one coming next year

  • ok first off kid, in case you didn't view the trailer and you are mentally handicapped he is clearly not french, this is based off the anime "Lupin the 3rd", not the french movie. Hence "dumbass" certainly suits you.

  • Haha,if you aren't a kid physically, then you are a kid mentally, I couldn;t even interpret understand half of the things you just said. as for the move I wasn't referring to a hollywood movie....fuckin dumbass kid....fuck your parents for letting you go on the computer.

  • I'm sure you'll retort using "fuck you" which makes me laugh everytime, just shows how you lack vocab, I suggest using a dictionary you'll be above the i

  • I'm sure you'll retort using "fuck" to defend yourself, which makes me laugh everytime. I suggest using a dictionary...that way you'll have a higher iq than most 6 year olds your age.

If someone looks asian they could have a french background too....now be a good kid and stop the argument!

  • Dude, calm the hell down.

  • okay someone needs his meds....Lupin's Grandfather and Father were French so calm down.

  • hmm..... found this lurking in my comments.

First and foremost, you should always understand what the argument is about, before posting some idiotic comment reply. I am not referring to the character's background but the ACTOR'S....look at the trailer, is the actor playing lupin, japanese?

Somebody is taking too much illegal "medicine".

As for being calm, I remember having to rush with the comments and so they were arbitrary and impulsive, which might have denoted heticness.

  • Supposedly, Lupin III is only half-French. Besides, in the 1970s, I don't imagine that it was common for Japanese filmmakers to cooperate internationally, in terms of actors.

  • I would rather highly recommend Jim Carrey or Chris O'Donnell, simply because they got the looks and built. That, and because they kinda got the high-pitched voices, and so I would base them off of Kani'ichi Kurita's and Yasuo Yamada's voices (the seiyuus of Lupin III) as well as the voice actors who dubbed them, like Tony Oliver and Bob Bergen and Sonny Strait. That's why I would recommend Chris or Jim.

  • Actually this film came out in around 1975 or so.

  • No-in 1974!

  • it would be funny to see these people now a days

  • estrangedrelative....are u serious!!!

that would (plausibly) be so fucking cool!!!

  • well i did do some digging and i found that a project is in development i just hope that they dont change anything around too much like Fox is doing with the Dragonball movie

  • 1969 damn thats ancient

  • ur kidding rite ok america should make a lupin movie

  • america is making a Lupin Movie...its from White Light Entertainment and is supposed to have a 2009 release date

  • is it an anime or a live version

  • it's supposedly live-action

  • Actually this film pre-dates Lupin's animated version , as a fan of the show (animated) I would say watch this , and then after it's forget you ever saw it.

  • The anime predates this film. This film premiered in 1974. The Lupin anime debuted in 1969 with a short pilot film and the original TV series (a.k.a. Green Jacket) ran from 1971-72.

  • Thats a lot of zero!!!!!

  • XDD

  • atch alto fo the time with japanese movies even if the character are western or whatever, which they almost allways are; the actors are generaly asian.

  • I saw this at Otakon 2006, and it was just too funny. It has plenty of differances from the manga, but at the same time it manages to capture a lot of the heart of the series. I'd definatly recommend it to anyone that enjoys a good laugh and is a fan of the Lupin series.

  • Lupin isn't asian

  • Lupin is actually Half French and Half Asian, seeing as his father and grandfather were French

  • wtf? really?

  • did you see the live action film by main moon productions? NOW THAT WAS AWESOME!

  • The live action movie was AWFUL . god awfull..

  • where's Jigen and Goemon?

  • i think jigen is they guy in the hat tryna shoot lupin..maybe..if so i am royaly pissed off he has no beard, if not i am roylay pissed off he is not featured in the advert

  • I wanna see this movie soooooo bad...

  • Great stuff. Would like to see it!

  • i have this soundtrack

  • I had no idea they released the soundtrack ,i have been looking 4 it forever. Is it on vinyl or cd??

  • Lupin is so good :]

  • >> how old is lupin the third XD I heard there are still new episode america has yet to get. >> this is cool in the fact that its like Lupin >< but no red suit @.@ dont really like the green suit xD

  • Its been going since at least the 60's. There isn't really "New episodes" the show ended a while ago, but there are at least 130 episodes that never made it to America....

  • At least Fujiko is a babe

  • Best. Gun duel. Ever.

  • they didnt capture the characters properly, also, jigen is on lupin's side not his enemy, and where the hell is my favourite character, the Samurai =(

  • Jigen sometimes goes against Lupin if he has other interests, and Gomen wasn't really ALWAYS just some times, and normally as a body guard of a villain.

  • from what i watched, which is 8 movies and 5 episodes, gomen is the one that is not fully on lupin's side, he is hired help, but jigen is on lupin's side, he even sometimes calls him boss

  • In one movie Jigen killed the father of a woman that had something to do with a nuclear sub some time before the movie itself, and Jigen says to Lupin something like "I'm sorry, I can't go with you" and he lives him... or something, I don't really remember, in the TV series he did was like some sort of henchmen.

  • ROFL hahah..i dont think they got lupin right though. for one he aint wearin either a pink green or blue jacket..and what hapended to the monkey bob! on the other hand i agree with nicklocs statement completely. go home get stoned. watch live action lupin!! =3

  • ha TMoney0809 said tits

  • Where the song starts at 00:33 that is really Funky.

  • Better than the filipino version of richard gutierrez Lupin on GMA-7 (Crap Soap Opera)

  • This movie is great... they were selling it at Borders and I had to pick it up. BTW, the guy "dueling with Lupin" isn't Jigen, but an assassain sent by an Italian crime family. Also, that scene doesn't happen in the film exactly as it does in the preview - in the film, the bad guy never gets a shot off. (a lot of the scenes are very different in the preview than from the actual film.)

  • Thats clearly awesome! I dont mind when live action anime isnt totally true to the manga. Lupin rocks! There are also French live action Lupin movies. (The Lupin Manga is based of French books about a thief called Arsne Lupin)

  • I'm sure you know this but the character, Lupin the 3rd, is Arsne's grandson.

  • i wonder if it was a hit in japan? It looks like a good movie.

  • it's not too bad. just very different from the anime. A lot like watching the Super Mario Bros. Movie which is different from the video game.
