Everyone is so judgemental. The game looks darker because it is being filmed from a screen. The headlights are dipped because the sun is setting. The game is fun to play with or without a racing wheel. You can make the cars handle more realisticly in the options menu. You can't crash through the barriers because you should stay on the road. Some people need a racing line because they haven't played as many games as you have. Don't like it? Don't buy it.

Have you guys seen the videos that are in GT5 Prologue? They actually put a microphone up to the cars exhaust and record it so what you hear is genuine and they also hook computers to every car and input the data in to the game, which they can't touch. So if it drives like shit in real Life, it will in the game. So that answers some peoples comments lol so this actually is a simulator!

You're all fucking idiots. Dirt 2, GT5, Forza 3, are not proper simulators, nothing on console will EVER be a simulator. Sure, there may be some Arcade Simulators, but, that's the closest console racing will get. If you want a true and proper driving simulator, try rFactor, Live For Speed, or iRacing.

Or, you can go out and actually give racing a go.

Do you not realize that Sim Racing is a niche genre? Console games will never be classified under that niche genre because you simple CANNOT have a game play well with a controller whilst having it still be a true blue sim racing game. There might be arcade sim games which as getting more mainstream as a genre such as Gran Turismo and Forza 3, but, nothing will come close unless it's a game on PC such as rFactor or Live For Speed.

It's a genre of game that very few find liking to. Thus, proper Racing Simulation games are very niche because not many people like really technical games and sometimes very tedious and tiring 3 hour races or more with weeks of preparation and tuning beforehand along with very strict set rules. Not to mention, all the buildup can lead to utter failure within minutes and what not.

Console racing isn't niche because it's hook up a controller, choose a car, and go.

Just trust me, Gran Turismo 5 is an CASUAL SIMULATOR, but it's not a proper SIMULATOR.

Give a game like GTR Evolution a try with a steering wheel, and you'll see what I'm on about.

GT is over... It's sad but it's true... Watching this movie I felt like I saw Colin McRae Rally 2.0, but with enhanced graphics...

It should not be call simulation anymore... The physics of driving at sand/gravel tracks, collisions with meshes fencing around the route, and all damages looks like in games developed 10 years ago.

Wrong - some games developed 10 years ago had better physics!

Richard Burns Rally on PC is much more better than this...
