I was there working as a marshal for Dance Tent East but we camped in West Pennard field.
It was a rotating storm (something I never thought I'd see in the UK) whose 'eye' passed overhead, it dumped so much rain the water created instant rivers down the hill and through people's tents.
We rescued some people then got to the backstage area where a beer tent had been ripped apart by lightening, and we evacuated the equipment from the Portacabin before watching it float away. Crazy times!
i was, and you really didnt want to be there!! we had 2 foot of water running through the middle of our tent!! made it through tho, loads of people fecked off home on the friday!!

apparently thousands just went home on the Friday because of this awful weather and because their camp-site was washed away

camped at top of pennards.. so all the water flowed down from our area! After a bit of sunshine our area was amazingly dry :)
