I'm in that same place now as you were in 2008. It was encouraging to see you feel that time outdoors can help, I was thinking the same thing. Good luck fellow bushcrafter. S, from UK.
@bikenutter1 I was totally beat up at that time and getting out to clear my head was the best thing I could have done. You can really see it in the video "Coffee and Confession". I didn't realize how much stress I had been under until later. Thankfully it all turned out well in the end, we're back in Brazil doing what we love and learning to pace ourselves a bit better.
Excellent video. Do you cover the fist estimation technique in later videos? How does it work? It seems as though you are "sitting" your fist on the horizon line and counting upwards...
I'm glad to see you uploaded the video of your solo sojourn. (been waiting months for this!) Wish I had known sooner, but it's like a Star Trek episode you missed; it's never out of date.
I've been waiting and hoping you would get around to this ever since I watched the Solo Survival trailer. I've watched the trailer countless times. Thanks for taking the time to post these. I'm looking forward to the rest. Inspiring videos.
Brother let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in Brazil. I mean that. If I can help I will. May the love of the Father bless you and cover you.
@Colhane well i tried it after seeing it on here and i have to say it worked a treat, and fits nicely in the pocket on my canteen pouch, exactly what i was looking for,
but i hate gamo,
i had surgery on weds night because my gamo pistol misfired due to a mishaped pellet, a pellet which ended up in the palm of my hand,
It was about time for the whole footage to come out of your computer Mac!! I cant wait to see the whole thing! I myself must have seen the shorter video over twenty times before you got back to Brazil!! Im really glad you made up your mind about putting them on! Thanks brother!
"I can feel the isolation workin' on me right now. Feels great..." translates directly to "Where is the heck is that cold longneck?" and "It's about time to turn down my sheets." Har!
Yes, you do have to worry. I was using a bivy bag so if it got really bad I could zip closed. This wasn't jungle. I would never sleep on the ground in the Mata Atlantica. This was a small forest in the middle of Cerrado, open scrub country, so the ground wasn't as full of life as in the jungle.
Awesome! You have no idea how I've been looking forward to this. I remeber way back seeing your "intro" clip and wondering when, where and how I could view the rest. thanks!

Certamente você e o Giuliano terão muitos videos para postar no you tube.
Um grande abraço brother !

@Colhane oh ok. i've got zero experience in south american forests. and the fire would drive some bugs off as well?
