Why the hate? The Kin is a great phone for people who don't like the idea of shelling out $70 a month for a cell phone equipped with shitty 3G when they can use free WiFi virtually everywhere with a regular cell phone plan.
Really what's the problem here? People, seemingly adult, having a good time is an issue? There's more important issues to put your efforts toward changing, I can indicate several, else enjoy life and revel in diversity. When I told them that if they want to do real photography go to any war zone and report on it, but their response was "war sucks maaaan!" And my response was "have fun working at star bucks maaaan"
