it's much the same at IOM, but sometimes the pilots there aren't as skilled as many trainee pilots go with Flybe there, so the landings are usually about as fun as a kidney infection in good weather.

As I can see, the same status quo holds sway (sorry, bad pun) at Guernsey

I've been to Guernsey twice with Aurigny and I have to say that, even with little wind the landings aren't great! I can't judge to much because the only planes I have ever been on were to Guernsey but yeah, not great for landing!

well a Dash 8 pilot told me the best landing conditions for that plane is in a 10kt crosswind.

I go to Guernsey very regularly back and forth on a plane, I've been on Flybe's Bombardier Q400 & aurignys ATR 72-500

Sometimes rough, sometimes smooth, love them both! :D

Great Landing, you wanna try in January when its REALLY windy, with a 25MPH cross wind, now thats a landing, even the Aurigny planes can't land in that wind!

check out the people in the row justahead of the camera man, hanging onto the seat infront as if there lives depend on it...that was pretty rough, you see a lot of videos from unseasoned flyers counting a landing as rough just because they didnt expect to feel a bump at all, but this is truly a heavy landing

Ceratinly was firm the DH-8 400 is a difficult aircraft to get a smooth landing out of the best of times, so I have been reliably informed, the other thing is, landing at GCI you haven't got much room to play with so its a case of land or go around in rough conditions with an aircraft of this size. Nice Video I felt that!

interesting to see Guernsey again, i went there as a kid in 1976 and remember walking around the world war 2 underground hospital and a few german gun emplacements,as well as st peters port, happy memories,wish i could go ther again!
