They where playing the night I left LSA Aniconda Iraq in Aug. of 2007. I wanted to see them, but not enough to stay in Iraq.... lol... I like OAR. I actually 1st heard them on cd my 1st tour in 2003, and became a fan.
Thank you so much for posting this video. Lance Cpl. Matthew A Snyder was my cousin. It means so much that anyone would make a video like this for him. Its people like you who keep America going the way it should. Thank you again from the Snyder family.
Thanks for posting this song, I was a soldier once and it really does mean a lot to us whenever someone says thanks. We just usually dont have the words to give a proper response. Just doing my job... spc collins 82nd airborn, 398th spec dtac 75th rangers. Thank you ssg Conner, I will forever be in debt to Sheva the .50cal angel just over my shoulder
I love the way this song shows the Soldiers view! I am a fiance of a soldier who is on his third deployement. This was a very touching song. Hopefully one day in the near future, all our loved soldiers, will be able to remain here at home. Much appreciation for ALL the sacrifice'es they make. God bless them all. For all the wives, girlfriends and families here, all I can say is being strong for them is the best gift we can give. ;)
hands down best song off of the new album! They are amazing and I am sure that it goes to say, from everyone that they performed for overseas, thank you for the moral boost! Happy memorial day, and thank you to all the soldiers!

my teacher played this in my english class so we could learn about metaphors and stuff. it really has a LOT of symbols and stuff like that! i like it, but its not amazing. but it has GREAT lyrics and meaning. the music just doesnt flow perfectly for me =] i know, im critical
I saw them at Sustainer Theater on Logistical Support Area Anaconda, Balad Iraq in August 2007. It was a great show and most of us knew exactly who they were. Great Dedication, Great Band, Wish I'd have been home to see the Merriweather Show... in "Maryland That Is!" Thanks for coming to play for us, almost a year later, I'm still here, so come again!
