I always believe Wing Chun is corrupted. Whoever uses it in the most awkard manner has the most corrupted form, therefore making him exposing all the weakness. It doesn't matter who u trained with, which master u learned from, as long as it's unnatural, it's corrupted with side-effects. That's the reason why the white guy is dominating here. Though size does matter, over here, it's the form/style which created the disadvantage.
@choiericp - exactly as u say. no structure or effort to maintain structure. I am 5 ft 2 inch & have no problems with 6ft tall opponents in chi sau. Unless they have VERY good structure & are unified in their body/limbs. Then it is very difficult to deal with. This caucasian fellow would not do so well if he did chi sau with me if he did it like in this video. It just looks like he is trying to keep the other fellow away. Meanwhile the asian fellow is just being greedy trying to get hits.
Too many people think that chi-sao is fighting! It is not. It is a laboratory to explore energy concepts, line of strike, distance awareness, position, hand techniques, etc. Too many schools do chi-sao with 'head hunting' in mind as to how they can bloody a partner's face. Besides you need a good horse stance that is mobile and in unison with the hands, in fact the whole body as one and not fragmented. go to Sifu Wan Kam Leung and see for yourself.
Talks cheap. Go to china and do some chi sao with them, which is not rehearsed for the cameras. The Gulo wing chun people are very proud and extremely talented. They have very strong technique.
First: chi sao does not teach you fighting, it is a sensitivity exercise. The small guy was not able to get into a right position, where he would be able to deliver an EFFECTIVE strike with power. Simply his hands were not long enough. Second, if that would be a "real fight", the taller guy had many-many opportunities, to use his height, power, and longer reach.
Chi Sao is not fighting per say, but, it leads to fighting, when u r in a random situation. The ultimate position to strive for is standing over your opponent with him subdued on the ground.
Chi Sao gives u an understanding of forces, apart from other things, to deal with any type of fight scenario, when an opponent makes contact.

Looks like fun!
Haha, the white guy is so much taller with such long arms. Poor Chinese dude had to put in so much more effort. xD

Looks like a bad version of chi-sao. very crammed and no one seems to protect centerline. Certainly lack of speed and flexibility

I think the Chinese guy Wing Chun style has no structure at all, missing center line, no stance just keep pushing.
The other thing the Western guy has the size advantage he should be able to control the Chinese guy with ease!

so someone who is skilled in WC would overpower the height, power and longer reach by technique and experience
