This "boy" is named Fritz "Schneider, and he was born in 1902. Since "Freaks" was released in 1932, he would have to be in his late 20s when this scene was shot. Would somebody please put the final scene of "Freaks" on YouTube. It is somewhat schmaltzy, but the noble heart DOES win out.

These character actors were 4 & came from Germany. They came over in the 1920s. They changed their names several times but it seems that they also had plenty of work during the Depression. It probably also saved their lives. If one takes a good picture of Frieda you can see under he makeup that she would have been extremely good looking.

Actually they are brother/sister and they are from Germany. He was in the wizard of Oz as one of the Lollipop guild dancers. He once played an infant baby in a silent movie even though he was in his 20's...its that baby face..imagine him in a little baby night gown on the floor playing with toys with a cigar in his mouth......hilarious scene .

@RabiaB Actually she is his sister. There were 9 children in the family & 4 were of normal height. It was Germany 1930s and the Nazis were in power. The 4 left for the US which was literally a lifesaver for them. I can remember Hans in a Little Rascals short in which he played a child in a crib. Stymie saw him as he was and went to tell the others that he was smoking a cigar. The police arrested them. They had success in US during the 30s. Frieda & Hans were muchkens in "Wizard of Oz.
