And then I have school in Arizona and Texas (where the best bands are) that are asking that I consider them. I'm friends with many college band directors. UF is only good for academics and football. FBA requires that we march corps style. Whenever doing a showstyle show, we march traditional. But we're both showstyle and a corps style band. We do both styles.

Yeah, we don't know how to march. That's why we recieved a standing ovation on FBA by all the judges. You guys should really do some research on bands. Round Two? Hopefully by then you'll have developed some good tone and a sense of intonation. Then your performance won't be so painful to listen to. Secondly, we don't care about competitions. We go out, do our little thing, and go home. Everyone gets something at BOTB so that's not a competion per se. Secondly, stop hating because you have a rinky-dink band that probably just learned a two octave scale and has no one in All-County or State.

We did not run out of music. Due to an unfortunate event of your band being incredibly rude, our drum line was kicked out due to "unsportsman-like conduct" when we decided to strike up. if you really want to start a war about it, post your all county or all state piece on youtube... On a MALLET instrument not snare drum. then post your timpani part, then watch us all post video responses that embarrass you..

Yeah, we don't know how to march. That's why we recieved a standing ovation on FBA by all the judges. You guys should really do some research on bands. But you're so ignorant and are content with how you are. But you know what, I no longer care. I got music to learn and a grade six solo to work on for another college scholarship. Round Two? Hopefully by then you'll have developed some good tone and a sense of intonation. Then your performance won't be so painful to listen to. Secondly, we don't care about competitions. We go out, do our little thing, and go home. Everyone gets something at BOTB so that's not a competion per se. Secondly, stop hating because you have a rinky-dink band that probably just learned a two octave scale and has no one in All-County or State.

We did not run out of music. Due to an unfortunate event of your band being incredibly rude, our drum line was kicked out due to "unsportsman-like conduct" when we decided to strike up. With do drum line, we could not play. Hence, we had to listen to you people blast with your poor tone and intonation. Before you start talking trash, please get some good sounds. Thank you. We are a perfroming arts high school, we spend most of our time on concert band pieces, working towards goals that will get us a title of prestige in this state. That means that all you have is marching and you concert band is most likely not that great and would be a waste of time for me to research. Oh, and you don't speak like you are deciding on colleges. I'm dual-enrolling at USF while focusing on music ed so that I can declare my major when I go to college. So I've been there, done that. And try getting a full ride on a Ability Scholarship for music. Much harder but I have one.

And they have lot of money because their research program is pulling in MILLIONS. And its harder to get into now. Doesn't sound like a shitty university to me. @rocbowl We werent known as a great band school for the past decade because we did not have a good band director. A few years ago Mr. Mac came and made us raw! so of course we arent recognized everywhere yet! and we are talking bout marching band. I dont even play the same instrument in concert band. yeah i got respect 2 but idk we have a snare thats the best i have ever witnessed in person. hes probly better than our band coordinator who played snare at FAMU, and the other two are freshman and 8th grader and are still SICK. but idk. but im a freshman and im pretty raw on bass. if u not leavin next year its gonna be a good battle next year. but we mostly learn marching cadences so we really couldnt battle

A band is non-existant without a good concert band.The worst bands in the bay have bad concert bands. Tkae it from someone who's studying to be a college director one day. Every band should focus on concert band first and develop good habits. But hey, rep your band all you want. You may have got us once, but it was with bad tone and etc. As for All-County, not a huge accomplishment. We always have the most number of people make it in and secondly, its quite easy to get in.

Power is not all there is to band, not even marching band. Musicianship ALWAYS comes first. Unless you enjoy splatting notes and having the crowd think its great until they get tired of hearing it.

Marching band is usually a waste of musical talent. Its only meant for entertainment. I saaid you guys were good, but you can't entertain a crowd if your tone is hurting their ears! You can't jam to a band if they sound bad. Thats why audiances love Blake. We know how to be good and where the line is between blasting and sounding good and blatting and sounding bad. You guys should investigate that. You have the sound, just get some good tone. Its unimpressive without it, like that night.
