I don't mean to piss anyone off, I'm just siting the original band that used reversal techniques in a song (the Beatles).

I was obsessed with radiohead first, but later I became obsessed with the Beatles and after really listening to it, I can definitely see some techniques Radiohead utilized and evolved that the Beatles incubated. Music evolution is so interesting.

WOW. I can't really articulate in words what I mean, but this song always made me feel like it was communicating something musically apart from what the lyrics are saying. Something about the paradoxical nature of hope versus determinism or SOMETHING. I don't know.

Now, come to find out that the end is the beginning reversed and the beginning is the end reversed LOL. Amazing. It really subliminally makes the song more powerful imo. I think I sensed this was the case without realizing it.

well... the second part of this video (the ending) is the opener on the album track i.e. the ending played backwards. the vocals at least, not sure about the music. its at about 38 seconds in, you can hear the part being played forward at the end of this backwards version at the end of this video.

if you use pro tools for the mac it really enables you to do stuff like this(if you have the vision), you can highlight a small part of the song and reverse it, and do all kinds of crazy shit
