If we followed the US Constitution, "equal protection" would mean something. But the unelected fourth branch of government -- the immense, unaccountable federal bureaucracies -- like the EPA, doesn't give a damn what you, congress, nor I think -- what's fair -- or whether the Constitution authorizes its existence. Which is something to think about long and hard in 2012. It's all about money. You want the EPA deciding where America's money goes? EPA fees/fines are taxation without representation.
The Green Energy Act provides a back door whereby government can tax citizens and use the money as it pleases without the approval of the legislature, thereby violating our most important democratic right.
The Consumer Council of Canada is leading the fight against this evil at the Ontario Energy Board under case EB-2010-0184. Right now, the Ontario government lawyers are putting up a fierce fight about disclosure and ragging the puck.
From my reading of Section 6, which deals with assessments under Schedule D, amendments to the Ontario Energy Board Act.
26.1 "with respect to the expenses incurred and expenditures made by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in respect of its energy conservation programs or renewable energy programs provided under this Act"
26.2 (6)"To reimburse the Province for expenditures it incurs for any of the above purposes."
Lets see, what is wrong with paying 80 cents for solar power and selling it for 6 cents.
What is wrong with paying 42 cents for wind power and selling it for 6 cents.
What is wrong with spending 1 billion on e-health and getting nothing done but still give out a large bonus to the staff that did nothing.
People that vote liberal should hang their heads in shame, no better still, leave the province and move to Quebec, they like idiots there.

Tom, I recognize propaganda when I see it...
I suspect that you are referring to the Magna Carta in your response.
Is it true that your main client is AMPCO?

Chris, perhaps you could study some history to find out where your freedom comes from.

Please help me to understand your point on this.
