  • 33,000 officers? wow thats useless. there needs to be at least 100,000. Anyway now thats done nigerians need to concentrate on the following:

    1) electricity nationwide

    2) Drinking water nationwide

    3) Gas energy nationwide

    4) telecommunications nationwide

    5) Railways

    6) much more buses

    7) uncorruption

    8) not being laughing stock of the world

  • A visionary has to surround himself with people who share the same vision for visions to become reality. Now that the dream has been dreamt and knowing that there ain't no gain without pain.... Let's all go to work and make things happen 1 step at a time.

  • HUMMM SOLAR.......?ANYTHING CAN BE MANIPULATED IN NIGERIA...PEOPLE CAN TURN BLUE IN RED

  • how can this work without NEPA? N0 Electric Power Always

  • @AFROBEATOLOGY

LLLLOOOOOOOLLLL IT'S: Never Expect Power Always

  • @AFROBEATOLOGY He reporter stated they solar powered!

  • I should be coming to Lagos to see things for myself havent been for a long time

  • Look like a police state to me.

  • Hallelujah infinite loving bless UP, hardworking + faithful Gov'nor... Keep up the good work, Lagos + all Naija loving states shall definitely get there, One blessed + divine day...

  • Well done Governer Fasola! I love what you are endeavouring to do! God strengthen you!

  • 1:46: Did he say such irrelevant agencies?...lol...

  • @seebaresi Lol...

  • @seebaresi haha i think he did

  • if i were nigeria i wouldnt try to go green it cost to much and they need to be fully developed before they invest in expensive technology not even the US has much of it.I hope also no other country is trying to use thier cameras for thier own means also because that continent has be exploited way to much.

  • They need to put those solar-powered CCTV cameras at those internet cafes where they create the 4-1-9 scams!

  • this video and all you commenting FAIL

  • Mr Fashola is the bomb. If with less than NGN35b allowance, he could do this wonder in Lagos, he's the best governor in the world.

    Prove me wrong.

  • 767 yeeh nigeria police are out, i am proud of the governor

  • PLEASE let this man be the next president !

  • you need to pay the police officesr properly before you want them to stop taking bribes. If not, increasing police officers will be a waste because they wil not do their jobs honestly

  • what r cctv gonna be powered on?? coal?? theres no electricity hahahaha

  • hahaha how much power do you need for cctv survellance?

hahaha the buildings the cameras are attached to will have generators as they are banks/government buildings.

hahaha there are alternatives to NEPA. Just look at the wrok done on Street Lights + Solar power.

    hahahaha @ your stupidity.

In conclusion, hahaha @ your epic fail.

  • Listen very well, solar powered cctv.

  • if u listened properly you would have heard the dude say SOLAR POWERED SECURITY CAMERAS. appreciating a job well done cant be that hard .

  • hmm neither can actually using your brain, installing solar powered anything means using manpower, so why can they not use that manpower to electrify nigeria?

some people should think before they speak.

  • you have said it right.....I wonder why some Nigerians cant understand simple english words and digest it b4 they put their trash comments on a video... That tech4156 guy is one of them!

  • CCTV re appliances that can be powered by solar...so no need to bring up your notion of no electricity here. The problem with Nigerians like u is that they all believe that nothing can work without kainji dam powered electricity, you people forgot about new and renewable energy sources like solar!

  • ok packman then why dont 80% of everything get powered on solar power?? why r people going & buying generators?? So yes there IS a reason to bring up my so-called notion. And for your information im a solar engineer but b'coz of corruption nigeria is kept dark. See (light up nigeria)

  • doing the same things over and over and expecting different results is the definition of craziness. We pray God will deliver Naija from craziness in Jesus name. Happy Birthday Naija! There is no place like home. We pray for miraculous changes as we move towards Naija's 50th birthday next year. Hip, hip, hooray. God bless our motherland. What are we doing overseas if our country is safe and provides 24 hours electricity and abundance of jobs. We want to come home but we need security and jobs.

  • I commend the governor and his team for doing a good job in Lagos state. As you clearly mentioned in this clip, 33,000 police officers can not police 18 million people. Yes, CCTV is a welcome idea but the real policing will be on the ground. Nigerian police can do it but needed the right direction. I work for Metropolitan Police with five years to my retirement. I will be more than happy to give advise on securtity and policing matters

  • God bless you Gov.Fashola, the Nigerian private sector has overtaken the comatose Federal government as the largest employer of Nigerians and the ultimate driver of the economy. Eko Oni baje o.

  • No doubt he is a good Governor. But i think he is not doing anything extraordinary. HE IS JUST DOING WHAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO! The other governor did notthing. No one praises a governor in western world for buliding roads and social amunities cos its what they are elected for

  • i agree with u...and wwe all have our roles to play including u...

  • Comment removed

  • Gov Fashola the host of heaven are rejoicing over you. You are indeed a blessing for lagos.Oluwa atiyin lehin o. Other governors should come to you to tap from your divine skill. Eko o nibaje o

  • Why they did not let us see some of those horrible things happening on the cctv?

  • I've been away from Naija for way too long, but from what i've seen and heard of his adminisration Fashola really must be commended. Honestly i don't give a rat's ass if someone tells me he's embezzeling because in comparison to past governors, he ranks best. Eko o ni baje. Olorun a duro ti e. I think it's left for us as Nigerians to play our parts, because if we all do, it can only be for the better. I'm coming home soon, i miss my motherland.

  • i agree with u 2 lollll

  • I welcome this development. However, tackle electricity too. All this one na luxury. The elctricity is the main koko for comfort & etc. Naija 4 life. If you no like am, waka inside bush.

  • About the suvellance camera,I hope alaba, oshodi electronic people no go go begin tamper with them .The slm dog millionaires who can drip the bloodof their brothers for money. Our epileptic electricity in Nigeria is an evidence of these hoodlums criminal activities

  • The city has already been cleaned up significantly, and there are designated areaes for market women as well, good job Gov.Fashola..Eko Oni Baje ooo

  • the money would have been used to clean the city, build a designated area for market woman, so that they wouldn't be selling on the road side. the city is too dirty.

  • shut up , they have cleanned up lagos a good deal.

  • EKO O NI BAJE OOOOOOOOOO!

  • who says its not going work

  • Am really proud of this Gov. i only wish the our president has this initiatives. This is going to work out. In other for this to effectively work, i will also want the Nigerian govt. to get everybody in naija to be registered on a central database so that criminals can be tracked down easily. EKO ONI BAJE OO

  • DAMN STRAIGHT... I think a Nationwide LOCKDOWN is the way forward, As long as people are not Accounted for.. Crime will continue to prosper

  • Dont get me wrong I think fashola is doing a terrific job & will want such a man becoming our next president, But I do disagree with him on spendings such as this one (it is not yet time for this) especially the EKO ATLANTIS project Rather than trying to reclaim long lost land from the ocean, the billions of dollars could be used on establishing an independent source of energy for lagos state (solar, Wind mill) The federal gov does permit state independent power grids, cross river state did such

  • The presseeent administration is ressoffed to making Lagos. Kai!! yoruba man you need to be arrested for polluting the airwaves.

On the CCTV, first of all give me light first & security will trickle in,shine light every where, bad man will find it difficult to operate if he can easily be spotted. Mayor guiliani tried it in new york city and it worked 4 him. Even the bible tells you that darkness goes away where there is light. Install the CCTV cameras in NEPA offices to monitor those bastards

  • yeah i understand what you mean in the light issue, but i feel fashola is doing his part and i think the light issue is mainly the fed governmnet issue, so i dont think dere is much fashola can do concernin dat..shud complain 2 yaradua..

  • I hope you didn't forget that NEPA sorbotage the previous independent private energy scheme by telling them to get their own meters. Whatever Fashola is doing, let him go ahead as lond as it's a good thing !

  • I wish the author of this video should try and downloads more of these progress more often on youtube and not the Nigeria of the Ojukwu and Biafran war era we have had enough of those.Let's catch the train of world progress together and some Nigerians as well should stop being pesimistics their efforts should be wht they do for their country and not what their Nation is to do for them..EKO ONI BAJE OO.

  • Give peace a chance ppl. Lets see how far this gets us before we tear it down.

  • hAAAAAAAAAAAA i no kno wetin dey worry una. at least d man is trying all his best for crying out loud. go to oyo state and see wat is appening there. as far as i am concerned he is d best governor ive seen so far. stop complaining about everything and make urself useful. NONSENSE

  • Haba!!! Tech4156, what planet do u live in? Are u one of those who are averse to changes? why won't u acknowledge for once that a journey of a 1000miles begins with a step. Can u do better if given d chance? Stop all these PHDS - Pull Him Down Syndrome. If Fashola can install CCTV, then he can also create a database for Lagosians. Great UNIBEN!! To Gov Fashola. Keep it up. Represent ur Alma Mata well. UNIBEN Represents!!!!

  • God bless Nigeria be positive people

  • naija haba always think b4 u open ur lips

first, if no cctv we go complaine

this gorv hav been doin everythin since he came inn.

but, some people still dnt happy haba haba haba.

  • nice remarks!

very important for u and the people of Lagos to know that the system is very accessorized and complicated, giving solutions to a large variety of incidents.

the system has already shown its abilities at real time crime event. stories are not published in order not to discover the systems abilities.

comments r blessed please keep on.

  • lol. Are you thinking at all. If they see you stealing, they will call the closest cops in that area to go where you are of course, and if they have your picture and publish it in the streets, is that not another way to catch you, and even if he is embezzling money at least we are seeing something from him. Why can't people just appreciate the good efforts of others. Some Nigerians can be insatiable at times.

  • @shyne213 For any other Governor i'll probably Agree but for Fashiola i'll say your a BIG Idiot

  • maybe thinking too far ahead, first sort out the roads and the railways and sewage and electric then look at cctv.

  • security comes first dumbo.

  • structure comes first asshole. Eat shit and die you fool.

  • now i know it was a wise decision to use this company to manage my car fleet and business security

good luck on lowering the crime rate of lagos

  • tumbup to Gov fashola, if all Nigerian politician are like him,Nigeria will surelly be a better place for us all.
