I knew this was a Stossel hit-piece before I saw his name in the description. Yes, there has long been a consensus on AGW. The only debate is on the subtle points, like the degree of future warming, based on how people finally end up using fossil fuels (see Peak Oil, etc.).

A barrel floating in the ocean will grow a seaweed farm. It would be easy to create rainforest sized algae farms mid ocean. The seaweed farms would photosynthesize, as well as the lifeforms themselves would be made of carbon.
Cheap. Proactive. Harmless.
Also mid ocean seaweed (algae) farms could be towed to countries in need for emergency food, fuel.
No downside.

No, the IPCC prediction specifically said they EXCLUDED glacier melt because the science doesn't yet know how to predict it. We KNOW for a fact, that the actual sea level rise will be greater than the range predicted by the IPCC because of the fact that they left that factor out. We just don't know how much. It could be a centimeter and it could be a meter.
Nature's production of CO2 has been in equilibrium.
Obviously, you have no argument so you have to resort to ad homimens.

Phil Jones, the lead global warming scientist from the CRU in East Anglia in the UK finally admitted today that there has been no warming since 1995. There is some indication, although it is not significant enough to measure, that the earth was actually cooling in the last 15 years.
He also admitting on "losing" the data for the medieval warming period and that is why it was not included in Al Gore's infamous hockey stick. The fact is that we never came close to that temperature rise.

What is all this B.S. that every person who doesn't believe in AGW is bought off by oil. First of all, you don't think there's any political and economical motivation for people to want to endorse "green tech". You better believe, just look at the mess ethanol is. Despite it never being competetive our govt still subsidizes it, it's a black hole of capital, a giant waste. My dad is a farmer and though he profits from ethanol he wont buy it because we've found we get about 7-10% less gas mileage

Even if global warming is not man-made, or scientists lied about it, this is far from being a negative thing. We are seeing major industrial nations investing in alternative energy including fusion. If the lie helps funding fusion power, then I see nothing wrong in it.
