Never ate guinea pig before and they're so darn CUTE,....i don't know if i could,...well, maybe if i was starvin',...then again i guess ya all wouldn't care for an century plant grubs, ant eggs, fried grasshoppers or scarab beetles eaten RAW*with hot tortillas!! XD
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW LITTER OF CUYS!! = )
*the scarabs are alive, so ya gotta be fast and on your toes and get 'em all into your mouth along with the tortilla morsels!! = )
@dnahoghunter We got it goin on man, sure as hell something is going on the fire soon. This is an extremely overlooked food source and it's like sweet pork. I just hope folks wake up in time to see they are basically Andean chickens.
@MrTerry428 They're pets. The potential for food is there but this is merely an experiment in raising them Andean style. They are eaten all over south America too and are a staple food there. They require very little maintenance and space when compared to say chickens or fowl. Matter of fact, a lot of restaurants down there have signs that read "Chicken, pork or Cuy" the cuy meaning guinea pigs. They will keep an operation like this in the kitchen.

@SurviveN2 Thanks man, we were surprised to see all four pups not but a few hours after checking. One is a coveted "chinchilla" coat.
