This movie helped recruit me into the Navy! I have to say though, enlisted men's boot camp was nothing like Hollywood OCS. Still though, I look back on those years as some of the best of my life. I took one of my first dates to this flick in late 1982, about two months before I signed up.

The line to the song is "where the eagles CRY" not "where the eagles fly" as commonly believed. If anyone has been to Alaska and heard and eagle cry, you would understand how beautiful it is.
