  • Slime mould finds out an efficient way to transport food through cytoplasm.Interesting fact is it found a flexible network in hours ,but took engineers months to develop,,

I wonder what else is nature has in stores

    AMAZING

  • Slime mould can reproduce in minutes what engineers took years to conceive.

  • @maurocopelli actually, if i'm not mistaken, this took hours. this is remarkable but, to be fair to the engineers, there are other factors considered by humans but not by the mould,

  • This would have saved Dr. Beeching a lot of work.

  • I bet the mold would optimize the net also in respect to the number of passengers. Stops with high passenger count should be made of bigger food flakes. You could then read the size of the veins as if it were the capaticy needed for the section of railway and also the mold might choose a different shape to optimize the transport. Sections with high passenger count would get a higher weigt in pathfinding optimisation than sections with lower count.

  • just read an article on this, very intresting, yet very creepy

  • @WoodenBokken Cracked?

  • @rockcabbage Yep
