ive played water polo for years, and this is one of the stupidest things ive ever seen. not only are you picking the ball up from the top, you are wasting way too much energy for what will likely be a poor shot because it gives the defenders time to stop you. wailing your arms around like a monkey also looks really damn stupid.
omg theres no reason to do this. in my 10 years of playing I scored using this technique in a game....... 0 times. But hell if its not tough, and i'll give you mad polo props if you can score using the technique. ;)
Its actually useful in the Match, when theres a perfectshot, but theres a defense on u, the circular motion takes him off you, or atleast gives u some room

do not pick the ball up from top, then your opponent will press your hand under water with the ball and it will be your fault
