BUT that rod looks stock to me , im just saying . i work at a machine shop , and BEFORE you can put a turbo an a car you most change the following : rods, crank , pistons , bore the cylinder walls and get sleeves , change cams . cars that did not come with turbo from the manufacture ,are not built for one . you most change all and some more of this parts so that this does not happens to you ! waste of money. but THIS IS ONLY MY OPPINION !!!

Also the internals are Forged from the factory. The only think i would think to do is lower the compression before you boost to much. People run 8-11 pounds on a stock bottom end and run years on it without a blow up. Not sure how much boost this guy is running but theres always a chance of engine failure even when you prepare.
I put 250 HP 2 stage shot on my completely stock internals and I'm just so friggin blown away that I grenaded my motor. Typical ricer bullshit (not the car, the people)

I honestly don't think domestics or foreign cars have a real big advantage in reliability. Can't tell you how many vids I've seen of hondas, chevys, fords, toyotas, etc. blowing engines badly. IMO, it's really determined by the driver and owner of the car. Change your oil regularly with good oil, watch engine fluids, don't push too much boost or compression, and don't rev the shit out of it regularly.

The launch was not good!..and whats with the shifting too early into 3rd gear?! it seemed like when he shifted into 3rd, he sprayed when the engine rpm's was already too low due to the early shifts!..

Well, look at the bright side. It's an opportunity to do MORE and BIGGER and BETTER. A blown engine is just an excuse to do more. What times was it capable of? Got a friend witha 13 second Sentra and it's not even on NOS or a "forced diet". Nissan does some good cars...
