  • if i have a brand new custom pc , do i need to wait to i can use the pc and than install the card or do i need to do that whan i am making the pc ?

  • @MrCesarVideo1 If I understand you correctly when building a computer I'd recommend if the motherboard does not already have an onboard network card that you also install the network card when building the computer.

  • Hey guys I got a question. I have an Alienware PC with

two Nvidia Graphics Cards both hooked together with

and SLI Unit (Bridge). Do you know if I will be able to

install an PCI Ethernet Card/Adapter without this bothering

the SLI Bridge since there is like 2 slots open between the

two graphics cards, where the bridge is. I want to install

the PCI card between the two grapics cards. PLEASE HELP!

  • I need to why network card is allow to use.....

I am just watching this so i understand the video.

But why use network card what does it actually does?

    Someone answer.

  • @sshers1 A network card is what allows you to connect to other computers as well as the Internet.

  • I am having issues getting my WG311 v3 (Netgear WAN card) to work on my Windows 7 64-bit computer. I plug it in and basically it isn't showing up in device manager, the drivers and software have been installed prior to plugging it in and I don't see a problem? Did I miss something?

  • I have an old Gateway P4 tower machine from 2003, which came only with 256RAM and a 56K dialup modem. I just ordered a hi speed PCI ethernet card from Amazon, and would like to install it in my machine, so that I may surf the web with my hi speed cable connection. Would I use the same PCI slot that the 56K modem is attached to (after removing it), or do I use a different PCI slot? Does Win XP automatically recognize the new ethernet card, or do I have to install special software before?

  • @AudiophileTubes

Yes, you can just replace it. But I don't think a "high speed" LAN card isn't going to help much with a computer like that ;)

  • @AudiophileTubes hey dont feel to bad i had a computer with 64mb of ram for like 3 years befor i got my new pc with 4gbs ddr3 =]

  • Is that a Plug and Play PCI Lan Card?
