I noticed that you rubbed the SU sanding block on your rubber stamp before you inked it up. I was just wondering why you did that and do you have the web address for the material you used on your rubber stamp?
I used a sanding block :) When you first get a stamp it helps to clean it before you use it...or sand it :) I've gotten into the habit of doing it....I was on auto pilot. You mainly need to sand it when the images are solid.
I leave the stamp as is, remove the backing. Then I remove the label from the sheet, place it on the stamp (sticky side to sticky side). Finally I trim around the sticker so it fits the rubber shape. To stick them to the block, I either use a touch of adhesive on the stamp or use a product from SeeD's. Not sure if that product is still available, though.
I have had good luck with leaving the stamps as is and gently pressing the sticky side( that mounts to the wood) on my clothing until it is less sticky. It will now mount onto a clear block and you can take if back off with ease. Works for me!!
I stamp the image on the cling side of the Easy Mount before I mount my stamp to the sticky side, that way I can see what the stamps in the storage box/CD case.
another tip... be very careful to cut the foam or EZ mount straight up and down. It looked to me as if you had your scissors at a slight angle. You can actually get a bad image it your rubber is undercut around the edge. A little bit of uneven pressure goes a long ways. Just a tip from years (30 plus) of mounting my own stamps. Really enjoy your videos, thank you. Linda aka oz
Wow, I didn't think there was a stamper left that had never purchased unmounted rubber stamps. A trick for mounting either with cling or halos is to dust the sticky side (after you've stuck your stamp down) with baby powder or do a bunch at a time and put a piece of plastic wrap over the whole thing. Either way, no more sticky mess on your scissors as you're either cutting through powder or plastic wrap to cut out your stamps.

thanks for the baby powder tip!! I'll have to give it a try. I usually keep alcohol swabs on my desk and clean my scissors after a while :)
