I don't know if anyone said this already because I'm to lazy to read all the comments but Knights Errant only have heavy armor not full plate. They do have a 2+ save with Heavy armor, shield, mount, and barding. and their ward save is brilliant as well.

@Indabaz check out GW sites for pics or buy / download Bretonnia armybook. Paladin is hero-class unit in this army and battle standart bearer for army. Decent warrior, but if he gets some good combo of virtues and magic items, he is nasty.

I use errant knights with an errantry banner to go after monstrous creatures and heavy armoured units and then add a basic paladin with the lance of artois i think its plus one strength and killing blow, great vid

What kind of High elves are you playing? last time i checked High elves don't eat my bretonnian armor. So if they fight with 3 ranks thats 16A /2 for hitting on 4+ then /2 agian for wounding on a 4+ that leaves me 4 wounds which you should save all of them. Soo...either you charged the wrong unit. or @ the wrong time...

No, I play bretonnia. My friend plays high elves. Yes, normal units you easily defend against, but it dosent matter if you kill all those, cuz his Swordmasters always strikes first, and got str6, kills about 3-4(whitout luck modifiers) and then your captain are the only one abel to strike back.

Im just going to thow in a better sugestion if your going for the combat res thing...

Army Battle Standard + Banner of the lady + Virtue of duty (thats +2 combat res and opp gets no rank bonus = 5 Combat res essentialy for under 200 points)

Slap it in a group of knights with banner/warbanner and with 2 ranks thats 9 combat res -BEFORE- your attacks -> Make them Grail knights to rub salt in the wound making all attacks magical/immune to terror ect.. or Realm knights will also do.

I think the factor is that warhammer models mainly contain oil (to make the plastic etc) and as we know this is getting more expensive because oil is running out. They have tried to absorb these but it's just to expensive.



But dont get me wrong i love warhammer and am a bit dissapointed about this, but it is necesarey.

credit crunch = everyday people are spending less and less on things that arent a necessity, there for Gw (which has always been overpriced) raising prices will only harm the company. Bare in mind the staff at gw get upto 50% off and the company still makes a profit. Hence i buy gw stuff from other sources and never directly.

Here is a tactic I've pulled often and it always blows my opponent's mind. I take 9 Knights Errant and move them into a position opposite the enemy's biggest, fastest scariest unit. I all but dare him to charge me. And they always do.

And then I flee. They expect it with MAA but never from real knights. But they are cheap enough to risk and are so much more tempting bait.

I lose the blessing but his failed charge gets him into range of 2-3 other units that will crush him. Utterly.

He's totally wrong. Those are the stats of the Bretonnian Reavers. Bret Knights are doormats. Don't play with them. Reavers are not only core troop choices, but you can max them out for 12 hits. I can't believe Fireman Tim messed this one up.
