i'll vote for halo reach here cuz dual welding was a pain in the ass for me since you can't throw any grenades unless you throw one of your wep,i hated how in halo 3 you had dif ranks on dif game modes,and i think the shields make it more realistic and its also good for killing campers,and one more thing i love the armor more,the emblems are still the same and it also has better maps,that's just my opinion guys
I don't like the ranking system that Halo Reach uses, In Halo 3 you had to be extremely good at the game to get a 50 and the noobs had really low ranks like 14 and 31 but now in Halo Reach, anyone can get to top rank no matter how good you are because it uses some shitty ranking system similar to the one that Call of Duty uses and all what you have to do is play the game alot and then you will get the top rank.
i don't know why you people have to decide which one is better. Halo 3 had a better campaign and provivded an altogether different gaming experience to reach. reach provides a more mixed community experience, allowing n00bs and Pros to play together and not making the n00bs never get there hands on the good weapons. Now the n00bs can use Armour Lock!

It would take me 10x longer to build a map in halo 3. I can search pictures, videos, maps, etc. in file share in reach. EVERYBODY has an ability in Reach, rather than having to find one.
@ClusiveC yes but in h3 so many people had intense as fuck games of fat kid or something like that and the game overall was better so the custom games were too...involved skill to level up, because its easy to find maps doesnt mean people even play them on the same level. i play reach more now but still...

it was a lot of fun and a bit more strategial because of the timing off the weapons and overshield and camo.for the rest and me i think its more like an emotional thing.

Why does everyone say that Reach sucks? I've played Halo since the release of Halo Combat Evolved and played every single one of the Halo games since then and love them all. Why can't everyone love Reach as much as Halo 3, Halo 2, CE, CEA, Wars, and ODST?
Halo 3 all the way, halo reach killed halo it only has about 100,000 players only a year and a half after its release, halo 3 had 250,000+ players 3 years after release and right now the only good halo, until halo 4......
What they need in their multiplayer is to have stats; and then have the armor pieces affect your stats. Exp: Speed, strength, endurance. Also have more weapons, and weapon customization. More armor abilities too.

i like reach better its more of a challenge and different and halimnate i got halo 3 the week after it came out and i have 249 friends and i kick ass in halo @thetrojanman88.
If you say you liked halo reach more than halo 3 then you either haven't played halo 3 didn't have alot of friends on it or you just wernt very good and halo reach makes you feel better about yourself because very little skill is required 90% of the game is luck although I gotta give credit to the campaign I kinda thought it was a little more enjoyable

Although reach was good, Halo 3 is just a more classic and well rounded game. I simply had more fun and made more friends on halo 3 than reach. I think Halo 3 is one of the best games to ever launch on the Xbox 360.

Reach was the ultimate sandbox. In Halo 3, they gave you much more limited tools. While it was fun to improvise with what you had, Reach is the ultimate Halo of player choice. I like comparing the Scarab to the Tyrant gun. While the Scarab was probably more fun to kill, the Tyrant gun could be killed in more than one way.
halo reach is cheap halo3 is way better it is easy to understand the maps are to big the only thing that change is the picture and health wich was better in halo3 so halo3 is better

in halo reach the campaign was bland and boring, the fact that we knew what was going to happen anyway kind of made it almost pointless to be honest, whereas in the halo 3 campaign it was all new, with unexpected events happening all the time, as there should be in a halo game, as for the halo reach multiplayer, i found i was no longer playing to enjoy myself, i was playing to earn the credits, making it repetitive, where as in halo 3 i wasnt bothered about ranking up and was playing for fun

This is the truth. Sorry but Halo 3 is honestly a better Game than Halo Reach. The Graphics in Halo 3 are just so incredible, and beautiful and that was for 2007!, And it's better than Reach, that alone makes it better. The Water, Environment, Vehicles, Characters, Storyline, Music was all perfected immensely, not that Reach isn't a good Game, I felt it some part's were a bit to pixelled and rushed and the storyline!, in Halo 3 you really have to zoom in, and still the Pixels are hard to see!
@AmazingGalaxy Yeah, Halo 3 was the best in every single way. Especially custom games and forge. I hate Reach's grey items, they make me sick. Halo 3 had a nice variety and a bit of colour. Everything about Halo 3 except for graphics and a few other things are better than Reach. Reach is the best non-halo game ever though, think of it that way.
Campaign: Reach: was dull and boring, you knew what was gonna happen. Halo 3: Lively and a pretty fun challenge i loved fighting the flood.
Multiplayer: Reach: too much, the same thing happens you get a guys sheilds down, he goes into armor lock, extremely repetitive. Halo 3: More flowing and way better guns, maps more connected.
Forge: Reach: Amazing forge good items and places to build. Halo 3: good at first but compared to halo reachs its nothing.

I think halo 3 online is way better in my opinion. I think they should add the armour abilities and new wepeons to halo 3. It would be way better have drop abilities and armour ones :). But i like how theres more granades and vehicles in halo 3. The reach credit system for armour is alot really cool. I also like how you can dual weild in halo 3. In a nut shell, they should just combine the the good parts of reach and halo 3 and put that in the online of halo 4.

I like Halo 3 more, for a few reasons. Most of it is gameplay, but also because I had so many great memories with my friends on Halo 3. My friends and I really don't play much xbox together anymore, so I always just play Halo Reach by myself. I love Halo 3, but I can't play it without feeling like I'm living in the past :(
I never played reach online but i got the new hcea a few days ago and it's reach gameplay put into the old maps of hce and it was so bloody hard ! i found that only the pistal would get me anywhere :L i do preffer halo 3 online

@TheDeltaXQ Have you got Halo CE Anniversary? The multiplayer (while still using Halo Reach's engine) is awesome. I just feel that it perfects it. The magnum is awesome and the maps are great. Also, firefight is so much fun on Installation 04
Played both games, but H3 is my favorite, my 2 cents:
*Reach: better Graphics & Campaign
*H3: better Game Play (feel), Multiplayer Exp, Gamer competition, & so much mad fun I had to get my H3 fix everyday, seriously!
Although Reach has better Theater/Forge features due to tech advances, H3 set the standard. H3 gamers jaws dropped when introduced to Theater/forge (like kids in a candy store). This along with everything else stamped H3 as one of the best ever.Admit it, u cant say that about Reach

Reach came out with amazing new little tools, Forge is amazing, and the custimization is awesome!
Though, I personally like 3 better for a few reasons.
1. IMO Armor Abilities weren't needed, not blaming Bungie, they tried something new and ppl didn't like it.
2. The Maps in Reach Mult. have no variety and have of them are Green and Grey due to Forge World.
3. Little things like Dual wielding in Halo 3 made better gameplay 4 me.

You can't vote. You can only veto. The multiplayer isn't nearly as polished as well. It's easier. The only way you can get exp is if you win a match.

Reach was the ultimate sandbox. In Halo 3, they gave you much more limited tools. While it was fun to improvise with what you had, Reach is the ultimate Halo of player choice. I like comparing the Scarab to the Tyrant gun. While the Scarab was probably more fun to kill, the Tyrant gun could be killed in more than one way.

@HaiImNate i say there both equally as fun but halo reach has better gameplay because its a hell of a lot easier to rank up because i hated how in halo 3 even if you did the best out of your team and lost the match you gained no XP where in halo reach you gain credits no matter what and there is more armour to unlock in halo reach, plus you can sprint, use jet packs, and use armour lock in halo reach so thats cool but i am not saying your wrong because this is just a persanol opinion

in halo reach the campaign was bland and boring, the fact that we knew what was going to happen anyway kind of made it almost pointless to be honest, whereas in the halo 3 campaign it was all new, with unexpected events happening all the time, as there should be in a halo game, as for the halo reach multiplayer, i found i was no longer playing to enjoy myself, i was playing to earn the credits, making it repetitive, where as in halo 3 i wasnt bothered about ranking up and was playing for fun

This is the truth. Sorry but Halo 3 is honestly a better Game than Halo Reach. The Graphics in Halo 3 are just so incredible, and beautiful and that was for 2007!, And it's better than Reach, that alone makes it better. The Water, Environment, Vehicles, Characters, Storyline, Music was all perfected immensely, not that Reach isn't a good Game, I felt it some part's were a bit to pixelled and rushed and the storyline!, in Halo 3 you really have to zoom in, and still the Pixels are hard to see!

Halo 3 dominates Reach,
Campaign: Reach: was dull and boring, you knew what was gonna happen. Halo 3: Lively and a pretty fun challenge i loved fighting the flood.
Multiplayer: Reach: too much, the same thing happens you get a guys sheilds down, he goes into armor lock, extremely repetitive. Halo 3: More flowing and way better guns, maps more connected.
Forge: Reach: Amazing forge good items and places to build. Halo 3: good at first but compared to halo reachs its nothing.
So imo 3 is better.

I think halo 3 online is way better in my opinion. I think they should add the armour abilities and new wepeons to halo 3. It would be way better have drop abilities and armour ones :). But i like how theres more granades and vehicles in halo 3. The reach credit system for armour is alot really cool. I also like how you can dual weild in halo 3. In a nut shell, they should just combine the the good parts of reach and halo 3 and put that in the online of halo 4.

I like Halo 3 more, for a few reasons. Most of it is gameplay, but also because I had so many great memories with my friends on Halo 3. My friends and I really don't play much xbox together anymore, so I always just play Halo Reach by myself. I love Halo 3, but I can't play it without feeling like I'm living in the past :(

Played both games, but H3 is my favorite, my 2 cents:
*Reach: better Graphics & Campaign
*H3: better Game Play (feel), Multiplayer Exp, Gamer competition, & so much mad fun I had to get my H3 fix everyday, seriously!
Although Reach has better Theater/Forge features due to tech advances, H3 set the standard. H3 gamers jaws dropped when introduced to Theater/forge (like kids in a candy store). This along with everything else stamped H3 as one of the best ever.Admit it, u cant say that about Reach

To no surprise, you will discover Halo 3 wins hands down (the numbers don't lie). You know its funny, most of the gamers I have come across who think Reach is better than H3 usually struggled ranking up in H3 Multiplayer.
