But did you know that Kennedy actually began to print REAL currency as a prelude to stripping the Fed of its power, as Ron Paul proposes to do? They had the words "UNITED STATES DOLLAR" printed on them, instead of "FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE".
It's very important for people to understand that although Ron Paul fully intends to shut down the IRS "From day one", if you listen very carefully to him, you will never hear him say that he intends to shut down the Federal Reserve, even though he says it is unconstitutional. What he proposes is exactly the same as Kennedy started, an end to the Fed MONOPOLY on money. If you had the choice, what would you keep in your wallet, a real UNITED STATES DOLLAR, or a FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE?
A two-currency system is a real difficult concept for some people, but I have been to many countries where this is 100% routine practice.
I have been for several vacations in the Caribbean Islands. There you can use their local currency, or US "dollars", or Canadian dollars. In fact, since they depend on tourism for their industry, they will accept just about any currency you have in your pocket, although US and Canadian is their preference.
Also, I know that in some European countries that have not officially adopted the Euro, many shops and businesses in those countries nevertheless accept the Euro.

Our fiat currency, is probably worth a lot less than Monopoly money. I think a lot of people ake too much of what Dr. Paul says way out of context. So many people constantly assume that because wants regulatory authority out of the hands of the Federal Government, that he wants no regulation at all. Untrue.
He has made his position clear. These matters are constituionally in the prerogative of the States. His position is not that there should be no regulation - but who has the constitutional authority to do the regulating.

Gravel and Paul both think that the nation with the best democracy is Switzerland - and Switzerland is the model of the Gravel Natl Initiative. I think it's a good idea, but needs more time for consideration on the mechanics of it. Thanks to Gravel for showing how many of the leading Democrats were just hawks in dove feathers.

Actually you have it backwards. Switzerland got a hold of the US constitution waaaaaaayyy back and they did something a bit different then the US did. THEY TOOK IT SERIOUSLY WORD FOR WORD. So you have it backwards completely. The original model for Gravel's National Initiative is the Constitution of the United States. Not Switzerland, you've put the cart before the horse quite inaccurately.

It's an easy mistake to make. We are bound to forget about the socialism when the facsism is showing its face, and we forget the fascism when the "socialists" (whom I prefer to call Fabians) are in power. We forget that both of these things are equally responsible for the sorry state we are in now.

But did you know that Kennedy actually began to print REAL currency as a prelude to stripping the Fed of its power, as Ron Paul proposes to do? They had the words "UNITED STATES DOLLAR" printed on them, instead of "FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE".

It's very important for people to understand that although Ron Paul fully intends to shut down the IRS "From day one", if you listen very carefully to him, you will never hear him say that he intends to shut down the Federal Reserve, even though he says it is unconstitutional. What he proposes is exactly the same as Kennedy started, an end to the Fed MONOPOLY on money. If you had the choice, what would you keep in your wallet, a real UNITED STATES DOLLAR, or a FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE?

A two-currency system is a real difficult concept for some people, but I have been to many countries where this is 100% routine practice.
I have been for several vacations in the Caribbean Islands. There you can use their local currency, or US "dollars", or Canadian dollars. In fact, since they depend on tourism for their industry, they will accept just about any currency you have in your pocket, although US and Canadian is their preference.

Also, I know that in some European countries that have not officially adopted the Euro, many shops and businesses in those countries nevertheless accept the Euro.
Money is currency, but currency is not necessarily money. Currency is anything that I am willing to exchange for what I have. In my particular line, I often accept straightforward exchange of goods (barter) as a major part of my business.

I can't help but notice the potential pun there. When you say "an end to the Fed MONOPOLY on money." Couldn't you have just as easily said an end to our "MONOPOLY MONEY"? Oh. I take that back. Our fiat currency, is probably worth a lot less than Monopoly money. I speculate that it probably costs more than the penny the Federal Reserve (a secret group of private banks) spends to print a bank note than it does for Parker Brothers to print Monopoly money.

Yeah - I see the pun! I cannot stand the game of Monoploy. I have always hated that useless, idiotic game. A complete waste of time of my time on the three times I was coerced into playing it.
Speaking of games, did you ever read about the Steve Jackson Illuminati Card game? It's an EXTREME version of Monopoly.

I have been intending for awhile now to begin printing my own money. I am not going countefeit Federal Reserve Notes. I am going to print my own currency clearly identified as being issued from my house, and printed in my garage in my spare time. Now, YOU might not accept it as payment for anything you wish to trade me, but if I find anyone who WILL, good luck to them with my $50,000 dollar notes!

Working for a particular newspaper, or radio station, or TV comany is no different from working anywhere else. You are paid to do a job. If you do it, you get paid. If not, you get fired.

What a lot of people don't understand is that just because these people work for, let's say, Fox News, does not mean that these people want to be enslaved by the system any more than you do. You think Fox News reporters really want a horde of illegal imigrants coming across the border?
Now the man who owns Fox News may tell them to shut up about it or they'll be fired. That don't mean they like it.

Today our interests are taken over by private and corporate special interests. Foreign policy and national politics as well as our economy have become very vulnerable. Obviously the dollar has decreased. However it has decreased specifically to the same interests Dr. Paul would like to hand both our Education, and money over to these interests instead of taxing them and investing it appropriatly towards the people and support the Middle Class not elite or corporate.

I think a lot of people ake too much of what Dr. Paul says way out of context. So many people constantly assume that because wants regulatory authority out of the hands of the Federal Government, that he wants no regulation at all. Untrue.

He has made his position clear. These matters are constituionally in the prerogative of the States. His position is not that there should be no regulation - but who has the constitutional authority to do the regulating.

I'm quite sure he also does not support fixing the SS that Republicans have also drained and dipped into in an effort to privatize it for Banks...not the elderly to benefit.

Yeah? And so what? That does not mean that the individual States cannot have their own.
Dr. Paul wants to abolish oversight and regulation of these things at the Federal level. Your argument about the consequences does not hold water, since regulation will conrtinue, but administered by the States instead of the Federal government.

Dr. Paul's argument is that the States can apply all the regulation they want to, but not the Federal Government.
This applies to education, abortion, environmental protection, etc.
But I agree with you that wholesale privatization can lead to stirring up fascism, but it can equally lead to prosperity beyond imagination.

And where was the Federal government, with all the agencies at its disposal (CIA, FBI, DIA, DNI, NSA, NSC, NORAD, PENTAGON) ON 9/11?
These Federal agencies cost the American people $60,000,000,000 per year, and what do they get? For a start, they are getting ripped off...
