Rugby players may be able to take more of them but NFL players could definitely take theses hits. (except maybe some of the wide receivers...some of those guys aren't built enough)

It's a totally different sport, rugby is non-stop, fast paced, big hits. NFL is stop and start with the occasional big hit but with all those pads I doubt you can really feel them, in rugby you feel it all.

And some of the NFL players would put some forwards to shame with their size. Alan Jacobson 5'10 18st. I'm Scottish hence the Scottish examples but I think, all in all, you need to be more physical and tough to play rugby. And, in a way, smarter. I mean there are so many rules in rugby compared to NFL. Correct me if i'm wrong but the only real rules are no taking down form the visor, offside
