Cakewalk Beatscape PART 1 (Need To watch part 2 also)

@tankdathomie What type of samples? this part is tricky you will actually have to load your own samples with Beatscape samplers so its in the actually folder in the program/cakewalk files..etc

@theANT47 Go to Cakewalk.com and in the search bar on their website type in Sonar pictures.. And they have all the pics dated back to the first Sonar.. Their formats are .jpeg, png and bitmap. If you can't find it send me your email I think I still have it bro!

@8KDM Yes, you should be able to load your Sonar sequence, only if it is a .wav or .mp3 file.

When beatscape's keyboard is up on my screen, I can click the keys with my mouse, but when I try to use my midi keyboard i can see the keys on screen being pressed but i dont hear a sound why is that? please help

@rellrob Make sure your output is Beatscape and your input is assigned to your controller on the Sonar track/midi pane

beatscape doesnt like rx2 files that dont come with the inst. i own many rx2 files when i import any of them into beatscape,beatscape adds its own slices to the slices already in the rx2 file...this realy changes the way the rx2 files play in beatscape...they sound like sh**...yes i could remove the added markers...but...im not happy sitting there fer that long fixing something that shouldnt need to be fixed in the first place...beatscape is a good idea...just doesnt work properly...

hey bro can we use the instruments in beatscape like synths n stuff to play various notes? like importing a midi sequence into it?

From midi sequences YES.. You can send out the notes in Beatscape thru a midi channel then use your Synths as a sound module to play back your notes.. You must create it first in Beatscape.. Then use the output to the selective midi channels

yes exactly...and ive got that problem with al my VST plug ins no matter what i choose...only truepiano and tts 1 run fine (i can preview the sounds)

I checked my settings over and over again but i found nothing related to this problem.

How do i route a track correctly in a track folder section ? Im pretty new to sonar so im kind of a noob sorry

When i try to play the Sets inside Beatscape they wont do it...i can click on them or whatever but they wont play...

what do i do wrong? (i feel pretty stupid that i cant do it myself but it seems that im the only one with that problem)

Check your audio interface settings and Sonar settings

Like bluecafe69, I had trouble getting sonar to find beatscape but I resolved the issue. I'm new with sonar and the plugins seem to give me trouble.

I installed BBE sonic maximizer while trying the demo version of sonar. Then when I installed the purchased version of sonar, sonar can't seem to find the plugin. I think I may have plugin installed in different vst folder. ???

I may have to reinstall BBE?

But I do love the sonar 8. There's a lot to learn but the quality of sound is so good!

It should be displayed in your Vst folder..and Sonar 8 folder.. did you check there?

Yes, they are in the (steinberg) VST, and Cakewalk folders. However I can not find Beatscape in the Synthrack in Sonar. I have tried scanning for VSTs and everything.

Go to your Global under the Options menu.. Click on the VST-Plug-ins Tab then add Beatscape thru there.. does it appear now?

I tried that already. I did manage to get all of my FL Studio plugins into Sonar. However, they do not seem to generate any sound. While Sonar plugins work fine in FL Studio.

Beatscape did not load with Global Options. The program is definitely installed on my computer, though. I'm not sure what to do... I think I'll just uninstall Beatscape and then re-download a new one.

I seriously do not know what else to do. lol

I managed to get Beatscape going! I uninstalled/reinstalled it and then updated the program to version 1.0.2. I also updated Sonar 8 to version 8.3.1.

It works fine now. So, now I can enjoy your fine tutorial. lol
