How come no one mentions the splendid work Eiko Ishioka did on the costume designs? I still recall her work on "Dracula" (1992) and "The Cell" (2000). Brilliant and eerie work that's a perfect match for the scenery, sets and photography.

@Malwina25 I liked that scene with all the naked, smeared men waving their arms around that man laying on the yellow sheets. Was that taken from actual ritual or merely concocted for the film?

@QueenBoadicea I don't know. But have you ever seen "BARAKA" by Ron Fricke? There is a similar scene. Just search or "baraka kecak" on youtube.

@Malwina25 The Balinese Monkey Chant? That looks and sounds very familiar but I don't think I've ever seen the movie "Baraka". Maybe it was part of something I saw once on PBS.
