  • I loved it on how Iron Chef French Sakai said "Urasai ne!" In the dub, he said "Keep talking!" But I think he meant to say "Oh, hush up!" when referring to Tenmei Kanoh. That's a funny bit during the post-cooking interview. No wonder Sakai is Ryouri Tetsujin-ou (King Iron Chef = left out "no" for my reasons).

    it's shochu.

    Japanese distilled beverage.

    But there are similar spirits in other East Asian countries like soju.

  • I love Sakai-san's style. There's a reason he's the Delacroix of French Cuisine, after all.

  • Who would top risotto with a raviol1? Silly assistants. The dishes on both sides look good.

  • I'm sure I've seen that actually. I don't think it's a bad idea to be honest. I'd be embarassed to serve that in my restaurant, but at home... with the lights out... wow!
