Nawww not at the Candy Apple but I did see Vino at Congress. He's awesome. Every kid dreams of a horse like this. Wish our Eddie can be 10% the horse Vino is.....
my old palimino quarter horse alway had his head up and in my face. My current other horse a rangerbread, has his head down where it belongs. It's so nice to ride and be able to see where I'm going and not the back of my horses head. Its also nice not to have to worry about getting smacked in the mouth.....
Look at the conformation of a QH or Paint horse compared to your Morgans. They are built totally different. If we were to ride our QH's or Paints the way Morgans are ridden the ride would be a hell of a lot less fun. Head up in the air means a hollow back and no drive from their back end. If they are level (head down, pushing with their hindquarters) the rider won't get bounced right out of the seat. I've ridden Morgans too. It's a completely different feel. There is such a thing as too low.
@1FanReconnected Not to try and be mean but why are Morgan's head so high? Why are Walker's heads so high? Why are Paints and Quarters so low? Its because how they were built. And believe it or not its pretty darn natural to them. Theres a APHA at our barn and he walks, jogs, and lopes with that same headset you see above. Its just simply how they are built, and plus the lower the horse's head, the calmer they are, which is nice. :)
